Offline Folsom Prison was the first album i bought from Johnny Cash. Bought it as a blind buy along with Def Leppard’s Pyromania and Bowie’s Blackstar a couple of years back. It Completely blew the other 2 out of the water (My apologies to Beatlebug even though i did like Blackstar). The Rawness and badassery of it all made me look up to Cash as a hero. You don’t hear lines like “I Can’t Forget the day I shot that bad bitch down” coming from anyone else and sound as convincing like Johnny Cash, and that’s what makes him standout as an Icon and as a personal music hero
By the way not to completely derail this thread, i am listening to Looking Glass’ self-titled album
