I’ve been on a playlist kick. Just made one from a year that has some pretty nice memories for me in many ways. My 1989. This is what I was listening to then.
Currently: Waiting For A Star to Fall by Boy Meets Girl
Next: If You Don’t Know Me By Now by Simply Red

You, by George Harrison . The guitar in the beginning (or whatever it is) is brilliantly catchy.

The first four or five minutes are a complete rip-off of ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’, which is why I like it.

I was just listening to a song by Thenewno2 called “Life Off” that’s really nice. Looks like there is an extended version of their “You Are Here” album that has 15 tracks compared to the one on Amazon that has 11 even though the titles are identical (no deluxe or extended edition is mentioned). Is this a UK-exclusive or something? *heads off to Amazon.com to search for a CD*
Update: Looks like ordering a physical CD has its perks – you also get the “Auto-Rip” mp3 version for your digital collection.

It is the original album art, @Necko, which was rejected by Warner Bros. in 1980 along with the original tracklisting (demanding Tears of the World, Sat Singing, Lay His Head and Flying Hour be dropped from the album because they weren’t cheerful enough).
The original artwork was included with the remaster in the “Dark Horse ” box set.

Please excuse me whilst I apologise profusely to the air you are being told to breathe in for punching it, several times, when I saw this post. I expect a full report of your thoughts when you’re done, WeepyC– you can PM me or go here.
I just finished listening to an original song written by one of my bandmates (who is way ahead of me, apparently– still massaging my bruised ego ) and I think I shall go and do Dark Side next…
