I’m listening to the Vitamin String Quartet’s cover of Green Day’s entire American Idiot album.

It’s really great so far.

I looked thorough some of their other stuff and found out they’ve covered basically all my favorite bands! So I’ve got a YouTube playlist shuffling through their stuff in the background (Maybe I’m Amazed is playing right now).
How’d you get the Duran Duran album? I know most of it’s on iTunes, I’m thinking about buying the American Idiot cover off iTunes.

I own the CD. I must have seen an announcement and gotten it at Amoeba when it came out. A lot of Durannies I know hate it, but I think it’s brilliant.
I’m listening to their version of Band On The Run now.

I don’t know why people find the spelling so hard! They play Beat music, they want to be better than all other bands and change how we all perceive music for the next few years at least. So the name is Beat-all’s, which they have sensibly shortened to Beatals. It isn’t difficult to get their feckin’ name right!
EDIT: But they’ll never be as big as The Rutles – who they constantly rip-off, IMO!
