Lean Cuisine mushroom ravioli with ricotta cheese in a creamy marsala wine sauce with spinach and red peppers.

That sounds delicious! I had macaroni cheese. It was nice but a bit boring.

Now, if I could only cook as well as I can copy words straight off a box a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

Cup of coffee, strong with non-dairy creamer, and two peanut butter cookies.

Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

About to have my 2nd coffee of the morning, and go hyper, accompanied by a slice of chocolate cake with vanilla frosting that my wife baked for my son and his visitor for their video-game marathon last night (to ensure that they went hyper too – not much sleep for us all last night) – which is why I need the 2 coffees this morning – kind of a vicious circle type thingie.

Cup of hot chocolate where it hadn’t quite dissolved properly so there were lumps. Not intentional but oh so yummy. Im trying to eat better so this is my one guilty pleasure each night.

I had the exact same thing the other night when me and the wife had a kid-free date night. Have you had their lemon cream cake for dessert? It’s AMAZING.

I haven’t tried that yet. I am stuck on the black tie mousse cake.

Yeah, that one is pretty good too, and the tiramisu is incredible. Honestly, they could do away with the main course and just serve salad, breadsticks and dessert, and I’d be a happy man.

I’m feeling poorly so I’ve got a cuppa and some warm crumpets. Can barely taste anything. It’s not like me to get a cold :(

Hope you are feeling better soon. Here’s something to cheer you up. Just imagine you are having a cuppa with these guys:

^ Thank you apple01apple01

I’m eating a few of these green apples actually. Supposed to help, I think.

I just made a big pot of chicken noodle soup with my kids.  Comfort food is required, as our cat went out 2 days ago and hasn’t returned.

And he’s a black cat.

And it’s October.

So I don’t expect to ever see him again.

Here’s the kicker:  In my 41 years I’ve owned 3 black cats, and all of them have disappeared after going outside in October.  *sigh*

Bummer. I hope this one does return in good shape.

I had a black cat once. Some moron teenager who had just gotten his driver’s license purposefully swerved to hit and kill my beautiful cat. I haven’t forgiven him yet. I really need to get around to doing that.

I lost 2 black cats in one month (October) a few years ago.  I thought that maybe things had changed and it was all a coincidence.  My cat, Apple Jack, has been such a good backyard hunter and he always came right home.

But 48 hours have passed now and nothing…
