Shhhh….there is no problem. Just do it! Make the pie, @Beatlebug ! ahdn_john_08_gif

All this talk of pie also makes me really want to make one– I especially want to try my hand at my favorite: chocolate bourbon pecan (or at least a regular pecan pie), but I don’t think lovelymother would allow me to do so, considering I’m the only being in my household who loves pecans because I live with a bunch of heathens.  However, I do think I could convince my mum to allow me to make fruit-based pie, perhaps……

God now I seriously can only think about pie a-hard-days-night-ringo-14 That meme just became a certified reality, lmao.

Well, I ended up having too much kitchen to clean up to make pie tonight, but I’ve got frozen pizza in the oven… does that count? ahdn_john_08_gif lol

Also, tell your heathen family that this Southerner says, “bless y’all’s hearts” and I’ll be prayin’ for y’all*.

*this is the most Southern thing I could think of, I’m not particularly religious but the point stands

Tonight we are having curry goat, rice and peas, fried plantain and a beef patty.

Possibly… okay, probably… with caramelised red onion chutney… I’m on a bit of a kick at the moment… and still half a jar…

Oh my! That doesn’t sound “pretty basic” to me, that sounds fancy!

I’m currently enjoying a leftover Coffee Crisp from Halloween.

Technically this is a drink, but my chocolate sauce bottle was almost empty, so as to not waste any of that chocolate goodness, I filled the bottle with milk and shook it up.  And then of course I drank it.

Bowl of Multi Grain Cheerios w/milk, missing the usual strawberries or banana topping (buying groceries later today).

Piece of whole wheat toast with butter.

Coffee with half-and-half cream.

Blood-pressure pill, blood-sugar pill, anti-smoking pill

Water (to wash down pills)

At Christmas I discovered that if you cook a joint of meat in a slow cooker then stick it in the oven for an hour it is incredibly soft and tender but exactly like a roast ( can be in danger of getting dried out if just in the oven). So tonight I had the best roast beef dinner I’ve had in years. I also have an air-fryer that cooks roast potatoes perfectly in 20 minutes without needing to par-boil first.
