Now, I had some sparkling pumpkin apple cider last fall that tasted very nice. I still have the bottle, it’s a very cool pirate-rum-bottle-looking thing that I use as a water bottle.

It has been tried at least nine times now, @Ahhh Girl. Not wholly unpleasant, but a little strange. Thankfully not as perfumery as the sweets, which I know you’ve tried, as that would have been offputting.
Currently about to tuck into homemade curried shoulder of goat, rice and black-eye peas, fried plaintain and sweet potato.

I have been basically subsisting on dark chocolate and blueberries lately so I’m right there with ya. 
I’d make a case for fresh blueberries vs strawberries, but you’re certainly right about imported berries tasting like nothingness.

Offline My late-night pizza has arrived. Pizza Sacramento (Tomato based topped with mozzarella, mushrooms, red onions, chicken strips, beef sausage, pork sausage & beef pepperoni) with a BBQ base instead of tomato, and 3 added toppings: fresh tomato, jalapenos, and smoked bacon.

Coincidentally, I also had pizza today. Mine was cold (the best) and leftover, though. A slice or so of one kind with pineapple, maple syrup and jalapeno; another slice or so with pepperoni, green bell peppers, sliced ham (?), and red onion. Both on thin crust, with tomato sauce and the same white cheese (mozzarella?).

Offline Chargrilled lamb chops (I do have a thing for lamb chops at the moment – or mutton chops
which can be hard in this heat so the hair clippers keep coming out
); double-fried sweet potato chips; tomato, red onion and mixed leaves (not all green) salad; onion rings (with a sweet chilli dipping sauce I won’t be buying again – far too runny, even if only a £ a bottle… 
).
