Offline I just grilled two filets, and am currently enjoying them with an ipa. I skipped out on my regular lunch today to take a nap, so I’m compensating a little.

Well salad actually has ample vitamins and minerals in it with practically 0g fat (unless you put dressing on it). Chips and burgers don’t have that much nutritional content, it’s more just empty calories- apart from whatever protein you get in your meat pattie everything else is nutritionally useless. Fast food products are also LOADED with salt and cholesterol- as in if it’s something you eat quite regularly, your arteries will be in terrible condition.

Oh come on RN, any salad you get in a burger is minuscule compared to what you’d get in a proper salad- and they are drowned in whatever sauce the burger contains, which is generally full of fat, sugar and salt.
My family has a history of heart attacks and strokes- the lucky ones died immediately or pretty soon after their heart attacks, the unlucky ones were left completely paralysed on one side and became practically babies that dragged on living in nursing homes for years, having to be fed, changed and dressed. All of them were overweight at the time they had their heart attacks/stroke and all had a high-fat diet. I’d prefer not to go out that way, and if eating healthily will at least lower my chances than I’m all for it.
That, and you generally feel terrible after eating foods high in saturated fat and grease.
