Hey Everyone,

Last night we got our transfer news. I will be staying in Corvallis. Our whole zone will be staying the same except for one of the Lolo missionaries.

Also yesterday was my 13 month mark. This is it boys, over the hill.

Monday: We did our usual preparation day stuff. We cleaned and went shopping then we went down to the Stevensville building to hang out as a zone. We played volleyball and basketball. In the evening we did some street contacting.

Tuesday: We went and contacted some people in our area book, and then we were going to go to a lesson in the evening but it got canceled. Later on we met at the church so that our investigator getting baptized on Saturday could be interviewed by one of the Zone Leaders.

Wednesday: We planned to spend the afternoon weekly planning, but halfway through one of the Zone Leaders hurt his back during service, so we came down to Hamilton and my companion finished the service with the other Zone Leader, and I went back to the apartment and sat with the Zone Leader that hurt his back. I did that the rest of the day while my companion went with the other Zone Leader to do the stuff they had planned.

Thursday: We had district council in the morning. Then we went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders. I stayed in Corvallis, and my companion went to Hamilton with the Zone leader that hurt his back. We did some finding in the afternoon. We also had a lesson with a guy that the Stevensville Elders found that moved to Corvallis. In the evening we were going to have two lessons but we had to cancel due to a stake meeting that ended up canceling. We went finding a bit in Hamilton instead.

Friday: We had a lesson with some investigators at the church in the morning, then we mainly went tracting for the rest of the day. In the evening we ended exchanges, and had a lesson with an investigator family that is probably gonna be baptized soon.

Saturday: In the morning we had ultimate Frisbee at the church, then we stacked some wood for a family in Pinesdale. In the evening we had a baptism for a guy we’ve been teaching from Pinesdale. He has been going to church with this member family for the past year.

Sunday: We went to our normal 6 hours of church. Then our 3 lessons canceled on us. We met with our ward mission leader and discussed the area, and then did a bit of street contacting.

I hope you guys have a wonderful week

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

I also heard Day Tripper at the Merc gas station.

Hey Everyone,

This week was pretty crazy especially Saturday.

Monday: We went to Missoula to do some shopping and we visited this guy that was in my companion”s old area. He has a dog named Chimmy that no missionary has been able to pick up but one. That day I became the second missionary to pick up Chimmy. After that we played disc golf at a members house in Darby and had snowcones.

Tuesday: We bucked hay in the morning for our ward mission leader in the Willow Mountain Ward in the morning. Then we were going to have the trainer conference call for mission leadership, but we couldn’t due to technical difficulties. However they had the Zone Leaders meet for a minute. Afterwards they informed us that the whole mission was meeting in Billings on Saturday because Neil L. Anderson of the quorum of the 12 apostles was coming to the mission. In the evening we had a missionary correlation for the Willow Mountain with our ward mission leader.

Wednesday: We went on split with a couple of members in our ward. I went with one of the members to go contact some people on this list we got from the bishop. One of the people we tried to contact didn’t live there anymore. Another guy answered the door and at first acted like he didn’t know anything about the church, but then said “my family came across with Joseph Smith, but now I’m done”. Then he kept saying “I’m done” over and over like a crazy person until we politely left.

Thursday: We did weekly planning for most of the day and set up some lessons for the upcoming week. We set up a lesson for later that evening with an investigator and her mom. We taught them about the atonement.

Friday: We had the rescheduled trainer call in the morning. Then after lunch we did some contacting of people in our area. Then we had a lesson in the evening at the pavilion by the church and 8 people came.

Saturday: We woke up at 5:30 and drove to Billings. We arrived at two and met the whole mission in front of the stake center. Then we went inside and set up for a picture with Neil L Anderson. Then we went in the chapel for the devotional. We heard from President and Sister Larson, Elder And Sister Gaye, Elder and Sister Taylor(Who spoke at this last General Conference), and of course Elder and Sister Anderson. It was really cool to hear from Elder Anderson(and shake his hand). He talked to us about getting to know the members in our areas and using them to help further the work. After the devotional we arrived back at Corvallis at 2:00am

Sunday: We woke up and went to our usual 6 hours of church. After that we taught the Plan of Salvation to a family we have been teaching. Then we had a lesson with the boy that got baptized last week. We taught about temples since he is planning on going to the temple soon.

One thing that Elder Anderson talked about on Saturday was comparing yourself to yourself, rather than to other people. The best thing to do when trying to improve yourself is just to become better than you were before. The only person you can accurately compare yourself to is yourself.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

Hello Everyone,

Monday: We did the normal preparation day stuff. We went shopping and then met up as a zone. In the evening we did exchanges with the Zone Leaders. I spent the evening down in Hamilton.

Tuesday: We did some finding during the day, then had lunch as a district. After that we knocked some doors in the evening.

Wednesday: We went to Missoula for Zone Conference which took up most of the day. At zone conference we discussed new ways of finding outside of tracting. Afterwards we went to dinner with a member family with a niece that we are giving the lessons to.

Thursday: We did some finding during the day. In the evening we had a stake correlation meeting where we talked about the stake finding day at the end of the month.

Friday: We did some more finding and found quite a few people. Then we watched the local homecoming parade. In the evening we went to the football game for Hamilton.

Saturday: We had ultimate Frisbee in the morning. After that we did service in Victor with the Stevensville Elders. In the evening we had a dinner and a lesson with a family from Pinesdale.

Sunday: Elder Condie was sick so I went to church with the Zone Leaders. I switched zone leaders in between wards. In the evening we had a dinner in Hamilton with the Zone Leaders and then headed to Darby. Elder Condie and I Street contacted while the Zone Leaders went to a ward meeting.

Thats about all for this week.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

[Nasty Note: the Billy Joel is a live album from 1987 commonly known as Kontsert because the actual title is in Cyrillic Russian as the concert was from that year’s Russian leg of his tour.]

Hey Everyone,

Last Sunday night I found out I was getting midtransferred to Billings in the Hilltop ward. One of the missionaries down there went home and so I replaced him down here. At first I was a little unhappy about the situation because 1 I didn’t want to leave Corvallis, and 2 my companion was left in a trio with the Zone Leaders to cover the 2 areas that the Zone Leaders have been covering plus Corvallis. That comes out to a total of 5 wards.

Although since I’ve been here I’ve realized that the Lord has work that he needs me to do here, and also 5 wards to one set of missionaries has been done before. I did it. Last year in Lovell.

So my new companion originally served in the Washington DC South Mission, but is now serving here in the Montana Billings Mission. He’s been here for 6 months and has had two areas, but he hasn’t left the Billings East Zone yet.

Monday: I had my last preparation day in the Stevensville Zone. It was pretty fun, but bitter sweet. We did the usual. After that I had my last dinner in Corvallis, and then went home to pack.

Tuesday: So the plan was for us to drive to Butte and for president to pick me up and take me to Billings. President told us to meet him in Butte in the late afternoon or the early evening(very specific), however he told us he would give us more information and give us plenty of time to get there. So with the thought he would be meeting us at like 3 or 4 o’clock(meaning we would have to leave at like 12ish), we patiently awaited his call. Finally at about 4:30 he texted us to tell us to meet him in Butte at 7. So we packed up and drove to Butte, then President drove me to Billings. We arrived pretty late. My companion picked me up and we went home and went to bed.

Wednesday: We got up and got ready to go to my second Zone Conference of the transfer. So the mid transfer happened between the Missoula Zone Conference and the Billings Zone Conference, so I got to go to both. We essentially talked about the same stuff, creative finding and what not. However the presentations were slightly different, as expected. Interestingly enough President told a story during his discussion that happened in between the Missoula Zone Conference and the Billings Zone Conference, so only a few Zones got to hear it.

Thursday: We did a bit of street contacting in the morning. We had a few lessons planned in the evening, but they fell through. However, it was probably inspired, because we were able to make some contacts that we were inspired to make during when the lessons would have been. One of them was this less active guy. He drove me crazy because he knows what he needs to do and he has the ability to do it, but he is making every excuse in the book to not do it. However we were able to make him think and soften up a bit.

Friday: We did some more street contacting and worked on contacting some people in our area book. We were able to get in a lot of doors and talk to some families.

Saturday: One of the Zone Leaders was sick and so we did a mini exchange so that my companion could watch the sick Zone Leader and I could go with the other Zone Leader to do service at this fair carnival picnic thing in Billings called Saturday Live. We got free food so it was pretty cool. After that I met back up with my companion and we had dinner with this less active family. Then we went and visited this older couple that is getting ready to move.

Sunday: We went to church. This is my first area to have only ONE WARD! Every other area has had at least 2 units. After church we street contacted and slowly made our way to dinner. After dinner we went back home and took the car to go visit an older couple in the ward. They fed us some delicious zucchini bread.

Sometimes we are put into situations in our lives that aren’t what we want or what we think is the best for us. Many times we will we will run in our heads ways that we could have altered the outcome with a better use of our agancy, even though usually we would have only made a little difference if any difference at all. I can promise that whatever situation you’re in did not happen on accidental or unplanned terms. You are where you are because you have have a purpose there. You’re there to help yourself to grow, or to help someone else grow, or both. You may not see the effect you’ve had there until 5 years later or 20 years later or till you pass on to the next life, but know it’s there.

I love you all, and I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

Also I heard I’ll Cry Instead in Walmart, and Let It Be and We Can Work It Out in Good Will.

I also found these sick John Lennon stamps when I went to the post office to ship the records home.

Last week’s message:

Hey Everyone!

Monday: We did the usual preparation day stuff. Then both Billings zones met up at one of the stake centers to play games and what not. During preparation day my companion injured his toe, so we didn’t do too much in the evening since he couldn’t do a lot of walking.

Tuesday: We had interviews with President for most of the day. My companion and I were supposed to go at 9:30, and we didn’t go until like 2:00. Afterwards we had 3 lessons planned but 2 fell through, although the one that happened went really well. The husband is a recent convert, and his wife is really interested.

Wednesday: My companion was sick and so we stayed in the apartment so he could rest. In the evening he was feeling much better, so we went and contacted some people.

Thursday: We had district council, which was of course followed by district lunch. Then my companion and I did service at Goodwill. In the evening we did some contacting and were able to get in a few doors.

Friday: It was my 5 year anniversary of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so to celebrate we had lunch at this place in Billings called the Burger Dive. It was awesome. Afterwards we did weekly planning. In the evening we went and contacted some people in our area book. We were able to talk to a few people on the streets in our travels.

Saturday: We started the day out by doing this thing called the Day Of Service. Apparently it’s a Stake event where the members go around and do various service projects. We did a project where we spread wood chips over a walkway in a disc golfing course. After that we went to help someone move. Then we got showered and changed and by then it was dinner time. After dinner we went and visited a referral we got that day.

Sunday: We went to church in the morning, then came home to have lunch. After that we contacted some referrals that we had, then went out dinner. After dinner we visited with a less active family in the ward.

I hope you all have a good week I love you all.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

This week I heard quite a few Beatles songs. On Thursday I heard Hey Jude in Subway during district lunch. They cut the song off in the middle of the na na Hey Jude outro.

Then at Goodwill I heard Here Comes The Sun , Hey Jude (again, but this time they didn’t cut it off), and Hello Goodbye .

Then on Friday at the Burger Dive I heard a live version of Let It Be (most likely a Paul solo live track, but I’m not sure when or what because it was loud in the place and I couldn’t hear very well. I do know it was live though because the instruments weren’t exactly the same as the stock studio version, and there was cheering a bit in the middle, and definitely at the end). I also heard Hello Goodbye again at the Burger Dive.

This week’s message:

Hey Everyone!

Well it’s October which means the Nevada Day season has once again begun.

Monday: We did some shopping in the morning, and then went to preparation day in the west end of Billings. It was fun, we played a bit of basketball, and then some ultimate frisbee, and then some mafia to finish the day off. In the evening we had a really cool lesson with a less active family in the ward.

Tuesday: We did some street contacting and found two people whom we gave away Books of Mormon to. In the evening we had an amazing lesson with a guy out in the farlands of our area, who is recovering from an opioid addiction. He is currently 60 days clean. We taught him the plan of salvation. It was such a good lesson.

Wednesday: We did some street contacting a lot of the day. In the evening we went to the church so that my companion could give this guy in our neighboring area a baptismal interview so he could get baptized on Saturday.

Thursday: In the morning when we were heading to district council, our car wouldn’t start so we had the Zone Leaders drive us to district council and district lunch. Then since our car wasn’t starting, we were on foot the whole day. We walked around and were able to talk to quite a few people.

Friday: We had to take our car in in the morning. We had a member come and jump start the car so we could drive it to Tirerama. After that we went to help this lady on our street move out. After that we got our car back and drove to this one members house and helped him fix up his crawl space a bit.

Saturday: We got up and went over to a members house to watch the Saturday morning session of General Conference. After that we went to a baptism for the Lake Hills ward. It was pretty nice. Then we watched the Saturday afternoon session of conference. In the evening we helped the lady from the previous finish moving.

Sunday: We watched the Sunday morning session of General Conference at a member’s house, and afterwards they fed us lunch. Then we visited another member who fed us a snack. Then we went to watch the Sunday afternoon session of conference with a less active.

That’s about it for this week. If you missed General Conference, you can watch the recordings at lds.org, and in about a week they should have the transcripts out as well. In this conference the reoccurring theme that leaders focused on was the family which is the most important unit of society. They talked about making the home a place of safety where the spirit can dwell, and where there can be peace and love.

Hey Everyone,

Well it’s the end of the transfer. It’s come quick this time since I had the mid transfer 4 weeks ago.

This week was pretty fast and most of it is a blur, so I apologize if this week’s email is not super detailed.

Also If you’re wondering about transfer news, you know just about as much as I do. We have not gotten calls yet.

Monday: We did the normal preparation day stuff. We went to Blaze pizza for lunch. Yknow, like the one from Vegas.

Tuesday: In the morning we went to the temple. Then we got Krispy Kreme donuts, yknow, like the ones from Vegas. Mainly this day we had a lesson with one of our investigators who is progressing quite a bit. We were able to put him on date for baptism for November 3rd.

Wednesday: We had our last district council for the transfer, and of course district lunch at Panda Express. In the afternoon we contacted a few referrals as well as a couple people we haven’t met with in a little while.

Thursday: We mainly planned for the week. We also did service at Goodwill. We were going to have a lesson later in the day but it was canceled.

Friday: We contacted a few more referrals, and then visited an investigator in the evening.

Saturday: We did a move at 11:00 and then one at 1:30. We had lunch at the end of it all at but 4:30, and then all of a sudden it was 5:30. We went and visited a less active in our ward in the evening.

Sunday: We went to church, and then afterwards we helped this guy move this machine into a truck. Afterwards we had dinner and then did some planning for the upcoming week. We had dinner and shared a lesson with the family.

Thats about it for this week.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

This week I heard Let It Be at Walmart, and Nowehere Man and George’s My Sweet Lord at Goodwill.

Hey Everyone,

So transfer news is I will be staying here in Billings. My companion got transfered to the Hawthorne ward and will still be in my district as our Zone Leader. I got 2 new companions, one of which I was already companions with this summer in Clinton.

Even though I am staying, we moved apartments today.

Monday: We did the normal preparation day thing. Finally at about 5ish we got our transfer news.

Tuesday: We spent most of the day in the appartment cleaning for the move, and my companion packed. In the evening we went around so that my companion could say goodbye to a couple people.

Wednesday: In the morning new companion #1 got to the appartment and we worked on cleaning and took care of a couple of chores. In the evening we were able to pick up companion #2

Thursday: We did some weekly planning during the day. In the evening we were able to go to part of the Nile Rodeo up here. I’ve never been to a rodeo before, so it was pretty cool.

Friday: We had a couple of lessons that canceled. We did a bit of tracing and then want and street contacted near this trailer park.

Saturday: We went and contacted a few people around where we lived. We then traced a couple streets. In the evening we helped set up and take down a ward dinner event at the church.

Sunday: We went to church, and then had a lesson with one of our investigators. After that we had dinner with a member in Lockwood.

Thats all for this week. Sorry it’s not much but we had a busy time moving most of the day.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

Also this last week on Monday when we were shopping I heard Paul’s Dance Tonight at Khols I think it was.

I also heard I Saw Her Standing There and a live version of Yesterday at goodwill.  I think the love Yesterday and the live Let It Be muct be from the new live Paul albums that RN has emailed me about.

Hello Everyone

I hope everyone had a wonderful Nevada Day this week.

Monday:  We did the normal preparation day stuff.  We went shopping and went into town for most of the day.

Tuesday:  We got up early in the morning to go to the temple as it will be closing from today until January sometime.  We did some finding and visited a few people that had been referred to us during the day.

Wednesday:  It was Nevada Day!  We had district council in the morning, and then district lunch.  We contacted a few people and visited one of our investigators.  In the evening we had a party with all the missionaries where we carved pumpkins and ate food and stuff.

Thursday:  We spent most of the day planning for the week.  We focused on increasing member involvement in the work.  In the evening we were able to contact a few people that we planned to go and visit.

Friday:  We spent most of the day raking leaves for this lady in Lockwood.  My companions as well as the elders in Lake Hills went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner to celebrate our 15 month mark.

Saturday:  In the morning we had service in the Alkali Creek area where we picked up some trash and stuff around this plot of land.  After that we raked more leaves, but this time for a family in the heights.  In the evening we had a lesson with one of our investigators.  We challenged him to read in 3 Nephi where Christ visits the people on the American continent.

Sunday:  We went to a regional conference in the morning instead of regular church.  Half of it was the stake presidency giving talks and the other half was a broadcast from Salt Lake with some of the general authorities including Elder Holland.  Afterwards we visited some people in Lockwood and had a lesson in the evening with a less active household.

I know that the Book Of Mormon is true and that by reading it and applying it to one’s life can bring an individual closer to God moreso than any other book.

I hope you all have a great week.

Peace and Love,

This week in Walmart I heard Let It Be play.  In Baskin Robbins I heard and advertisement for the Wings song Live And Let Die being released on the Red Rose Speedway Archive.  In Walgreens I heard some cover of All You Need Is Love .

A missionary friend of mine found me this Yellow Submarine tie from Stevensville.  I think it’s from 1991.

Hey Everyone,
Monday:  We did the normal preparation day thing.  We emailed at the appartment and then went into town to shop and meet up at the stake center.

Tuesday:  We mainly went out and contacted some referrals and knocked some doors.

Wednesday:  We had district council, and then district lunch, and then we all began to leave the church.  Me, my companions, and the Lake Hills elders were still in the building.  Just as we were about to leave, this guy came up to the door of the church(which was still unlocked from district council) and walked in and started talking to us.  He was living in a motor home that was parked outside the parking lot of the church.  He wanted to talk to one of us, so the Lake Hills elders went in the other room to have a lesson with him, and we left.  After about 30 seconds after leaving the church we came back having a bad feeling about the situation.  We waited till their lesson was over.  All was well, but that was an interesting situation.  The Lake Hill elders are till working with him.

Thursday:  We helped this guy move a record player into his house and visited with him for a bit.  After that we planned for the week.  In the evening we contacted some people in Lockwood, and were able to visit a couple people we haven’t caught home before.

Friday:  We helped set up for this swap meet thing that was gonna happen at the church.  Inn the evening we visited a couple of less active members

Saturday:  We went to the swap meet thing for a bit.  Afterwards we went to a baptism for the Hawthorne ward.  In the afternoon we went to this culture convention thing in the Metra stadium.  That evening we visited a bunch of people on our list.

Sunday:  We went to church as usual.  We spent most of the day just knocking doors.  We were actually able to get into quite a few homes.

Thats about all for this week.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

Hey Everyone,

This week has gone by fast, I feel like I was just typing one of these.

Monday: We did the normal preparation day thing. We spent the morning doing laundry at a member’s house. In the afternoon we went to the west end. In the evening we switched for exchanges with the Lake Hills elders. I stayed in my area.

Tuesday: We did some contacting on Tuesday while on exchanges. Then later in the day we did service at Goodwill.

Wednesday: Still on exchanges we did some more contacting. We were able to visit quite a few people we have never caught home. It was a pretty successful day.

Thursday: Early in the morning we went and helped these people out in Shepherd move. Then we did weekly planning for the majority of the day. We had a lesson in the evening but it canceled.

Friday: We had this big zone conference with half the mission. A member of the seventy, Elder Neilson, was there, and gave us a lot of helpful instruction to help become better missionaries, and disciples of Christ.

Saturday: In the morning we walked around and did some street contacting, In the afternoon we did some contacting in Lockwood. One of the people we attempted to contact was in the middle of trying to put up their new TV. We helped them do that and then had dinner and a lesson with them.

Sunday: We had church and then did some contacting in Lockwood. Later we had a mini exchange with the Lake Hills elders because one of them was sick, and they needed to go to a lesson. In the evening we visited one of the guys we are working within town.

Thats about all for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

Peace and Love

I heard 3 Beatles songs in Goodwill on the radio this week, 2 of which were odd.

First I heard “Come Together ” the Love Version (So I belive its technically called “Come Together / Cry Baby Cry ” or something like that). It medleyed into “Can You Take Me Back” and everything.

Then I heard “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away

Then I heard “With A Little Help From My Friends ” Just “WALHFMF”, no “Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band” to precede it. It was just whatever song before it ended, and then “Biiiiiiiiiiiillyyyyyyy Sheeeeeeeeeears!”

Then one night at our dinner appointment, the dad of the family pulled out this book with sheet music to all the songs written by the Beatles, and talked about how he used to play them all the time. Then on our way out he played “Yellow Submarine “. Definitely one of my favorite families in this area.

I also may have seen bought this in CVS while we were getting our flu shots.

Hey Everyone,

Well transfer news is I am going to Laurel to be in trio number 2. One of my companions is from Las Vegas. He’s also the one who gave me that Yellow Submarine tie. The other is coming from my first area, Sheridan, Wyoming.

Monday: We did the normal preperation day thing. In the evening we were going to go on exchanges with the Zone Leaders, but it was canceled last minute.

Tuesday: We mainly did some contacting and did service at Goodwill for a bit.

Wednesday: We had district council and then district lunch. We did some street contacting, then in the evening we had a Pre Thanksgiving dinner dinner.

Thursday: In the morning we went over to the field across from the church and played football for about an hour. Then we went to Acton to a member’s house for breakfast. After that the member’s showed us around their plot of land. In the evening we had Thanksgiving dinner at their house and then left around 7. At 7 we went to the church to play basketball.

Friday: We did weekly planning, and then did our exchange with the Zone Leaders. Me and one of my companions went to the Hawthorne area for the day. We did a lot of contacting at stores since that is where everyone was spending their day we figured. We didn’t see any fights though. In the evening we switched back.

Saturday: We spent most of the day in Lockwood contacting less active members since there’s a lot of those in Lockwood. We then had dinner with a lady who’s husband isn’t a member.

Sunday: We went to church, and then had lunch at a members’ house. In the evening we visited a few people that we are working with.

Thats about all for this week. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

Also speaking of Beatles ties I got another one last Monday from the assistant that just went home. This one is The Taxman , from the same line as that Yellow Submarine one.

Hey Everyone,

Yesterday makes 16 months on the mission!
Monday:  I did a bit of packing in the morning and then went into town for preperation day.  In the evening we went around to say a few goodbyes.

Tuesday:  We went and did service pouring cement at a construction cite.  After that we went around so I could say some kore goodbyes, then we went to my last dinner in Hilltop.

Wednesday:  Early in the morning we got up and headed to the mission home for transfers.  We finally got to our area in Laurel and I unpacked.  We spent the rest of the day meeting with some of the ward leaders.

Thursday:  We had a correlation meeting in the morning with one of our ward mission leaders.  Then later in the day we did some service for an older guy in our ward.  We had a few lessons in the evening.

Friday:  In the morning we had the trainer call which took up the time until lunch.  After lunch we helped a guy in our ward deliver chickens to some of his ministering assignments.

Saturday:  We had a baptism in the morning, and then we went on splitz with this guy that had just gotten home from his mission.  In the evening we went to this Christmas thing in Red Lodge to run this Light the World stand where we gave out free cookies and hot chocolate.  It was pretty sweet.

Sunday:  We went to church as usual.  Apperently we are going to be singing with the youth next week at church.  We went to the class and learned the song they are singing.  Later on we went to dinner and watched the Christmas devotional that the church put on broadcasted from Salt Lake.

I hope you all have wonderful week.  Since December has started that means light the world.  This Christmas season remmember to focus on the real reason for christmas.  This year there is a week by week thing the church put out of ways you can light the world.  If you would like to see the calendar it is at:  https://www.mormon.org/bc/cont…..202018.pdf

So at my last dinner in Hilltop, they were playing Christmas music.  When we walked in, John’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” was playing, and later that night Paul’s “Wonderful Christmastime ” played.

Then I also heard “Happy Xmas” in Walmart this week.

Hey Everyone,

Monday:  We did the normal preperation day thing.  Did our laundry, emailed, washed the car, and went to the stake center to hang out with the other missionaries.

Tuesday:  We had our carpets cleaned at noon, so in the morning we prepped for that.  Then we went around and visited people.  We had a lesson in the evening with a family we are working with.  We read from the Book Of Mormon with them in Alma 37.

Wednesday:  We had a big combimed district council with the whole zone.  In the evening we got the chance to go caroling with the youth.

Thursday:  We had a correlation meeting with our ward mission leader in Canyon Creek.  After that we spent most of the day weekly planning.  In the evening we went on splitz with the Laurel ward.  We were able to contact a few families, and have some good visits.

Friday:  The district leader in the companionship went to MLC, so it was just companion number 1 and me.  We street contacted for most of the day, and ended up walking around most of the town.  We ended up running into a less active member that wanted to meet with us.  We set up a time the next day to meet with him.  In the evening we had a visit with a couple members in our ward to return coolers we borrowed last week for the Christmas thing in Red Lodge.

Saturday:  In the morning we had a lesson with the guy we met the previous day.  Afterwards, we had lunch with a member in the ward.  In the evening we had a ward Christmas party for the Canyon Creek ward.

Sunday:  We went to church as usual.  We sang with the youth in the Canyon Creek sacrament meeting.  We visited a couple families in the ward for the afternoon.  In the evening we did a blitz with the Laurel ward whee we gave out plates of cookies.  We made a couple of pretty good contacts.

Thats all for this week.  Remember to keep lighting the world this holiday season.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell

In this house we visited they had an alarm that played a chimey version of Hey Jude every time this door opened

Catching up in this thread… @sir walter raleigh tell WSC that I really dig those ties. I have one that has Disney characters hidden in the swirls of the paisley and it’s really cute
IMAG2415_11.jpgImage Enlarger

but I’d love to have a Beatley tie. (Not like this one though, that’s creepy. Subtle Beatleness would be preferable.)

Hey Everyone,

Monday:  We did the normal preperation day thing.  In the evening we went on exchanges with Red Lodge.  I went with one of my companions to Red Lodge for the evening.

Tuesday:  We drove and contacted some people in Red Lodge.  It was hard to find some of the houses out in the middle of nowhere.  In the evening we went back to Laurel.

Wednesday:  We had District Council and then some members cooked us a district lunch afterwards.  In the evening we contacted a few people.

Thursday:  In the morning we went and helped a guy clean his chimney.  Then we had lunch with a guy we met a few weeks ago.  In the evening we went on splits with the member’s in the Laurel Ward.

Friday:  We did weekly planning for a lot of the day, then in the evening we had the Laurel Ward Christmas party.

Saturday:  We had another lesson with the guy we met last Friday and invited him to church again.  Then we helped this guy in the ward move some stuff in his backyard.  We contacted a bunch of people until dinner.  After dinner we played basket ball at the church with some members.

Sunday:  We went to church as usual.  After church we went and visited some people.  In the evening we had a lesson on the Plan of Salvation with one of our investigators.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the Christmas season.  Continues to keep lighting the world no matter where you are.

Peace and Love,

William Shears Campbell
