Best part. We should start giving food to our children and not let them starve to the point of obesity!

Yes I agree AD40 like what I did I work too hard for my kids and for their future, I learned as a mother is not easy I’m far away from my kids in many years but its worth because without my work my eldest daughter cant finished her civil engineering course,  Thank God

Gardening can be an enjoyable experience.

Don’t go out into a wild garden wearing shorts.

Loosing skin off your finger is damn painful.

I can’t cook rice – no matter what device I use or what instructions I am given.

Stick it in a pan. Cover in salty water. Boil until soft.

Have you used an actual rice cooker, trc? It is sooooo easy, and the rice turns out right in spite of my limited kitchen skills.

Tried that AG, hence the “whatever device” comment 🙂

I read today that women speak on average 20,000 words a day……….That’s 13,000 more than men.

I reckon I’ve used only 50 or 60 of my ‘allowance’ so far today and it’s 10:35 am here.

What happened to you meanmrmustard?  ‘Cause I was clearing up leaves by hand once in a wild part of my garden and something bit me!  I never saw what it was but my hand swelled up and there where two clear fang marks!

Wow! Is there a test? I wonder how I managed to get married once before?? Maybe life was simpler back in 1987!

*shush – don’t tell anyone about that bribe to the marriage assessor*

Not too sure @Sugarplum fairy. The garden is currently a bit wild, nothing fangy tho. Were you ok?

Yeah it was swollen for a day.  I’ve got a pic of the fang marks somewhere 🙂  They looked a bit wide for a spider.  Somebody suggested it could have been an Adder.  Apparently they can chose from a ‘non-venomated’ bite just to get rid of you to the full monty.  It probably also depends on if they have bitten something else recently!

Did you know that 60 people a year get bitten by Brazilian Wandering Spiders (Bannana Spiders) in British supermarkets every year!  They are pretty high up on the deadly scale but treated with anti-venom it’s no more than unpleasant apparently.  And all you get in compensation is £500!  They might pay more if something drops off!  Wiki makes it look pretty scary.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…..g_spider

I learned recently that I’ve been pronouncing ‘Ireland’ wrong. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14 Now I’ve rectified all the things that I should.

I’m sorry ASJ… don’t shoot me…

I-er-land. But according to AppleScruffJunior, it’s actually more like Areland. Light and fluffy, like sheep’s wool and Irish accents… or something like that. I couldn’t find the post. It’s somewhere in the Pet Peeves thread.
