Today I learnt that I had no idea that ‘Polish’ (nationality) and ‘Polish’ (to make something shiny) are spelled the same way. I mean, I knew how both words were spelled independently, but today it hit me that they’re spelled the same way.

Offline The english language is so infuriating

UCs are cool but very very difficult to get into unless you’re applying from out of the country.

The Victoria tube line in London is not named after Queen Victoria but actually Victoria Station.
Victoria Station is not named after the Victoria but rather the nearby Victoria street.
Victoria street is not named after Queen Victoria but instead Victoria, the city centre and CBD of the City of Westminster.
Victoria, city centre is named after Queen Victoria.
