Found this amazing quote

[Truth is…find the ones worth suffering for quote]

which, as you can see, is attributed to Bob Marley.

Except that Bob Marley almost certainly never said it, as reported by the Houston Press…

You know, seeing meanmistermustard’s post inspired me to look up Bob Marley on Quote Investigator.  There is only one Bob Marley quote in there, which surprises me.  I feel like I see him quoted on social media all the time.

You may ask yourself “what was the point of this post?.”  I don’t know.  I guess I just wanted to plug Quote Investigator.  Resume your regularly-scheduled lives.

This one will really surprise you but I was watching Mark Dice and I learned that the confederates were actually liberals and then I looked further into it and found out that Robert E. Lee and many other confederates actually opposed slavery much to my surprise. I don’t know for sure about whether what Mark said is true or not considering this is the same guy that believes the Super Bowl halftime show has something to do with the illuminati but he seems to be telling the truth.

For all of you South Park fans out there, if there is any, this is for you:

1. Some seasons of South Park are split up into multiple parts. For example, season 1 was originally ordered to have 6 episodes but upon the success of the show they ordered an additional seven episodes, so the series can be split up into 3 parts, the original 6 episodes (August-September 1997) the 3 holiday specials (one for Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas aired during their respective months in 1997), and the rest of the episodes (February 1998). Another example is during season 4 where you have the 3rd grade episodes followed by a gap of a couple of months and then the 4th grade episodes.

2. Episode 5’s brief scene of Pip featuring actual cutout animation (reused from the pilot) was remade using computers for newer airings to closer emulate the animation style of the rest of the episode (and series for that matter). However, they didn’t do this for Episode 1 which is essentially the pilot and uses 90% actual cutout animation and 10% digital cutout animation, these being the only 2 episodes to use any analog animation.

3. South Park Elementary School has only had males serving kids lunch (Chef (the main one), Mr. Derp, and Randy Marsh) unlike most schools where only females serve kids lunch at school, which in theory would make this school a place for equal opportunity.

South Park is a great show, I wish I watched it when I was in elementary school.

@WeepingAtlasCedars said a long time ago and I’m not sure how I missed this post

First of all, a thing I learned today to keep on topic somewhat: Yellow Teles are gorgeous. ahdn_george_08

If you mean the colour usually referred to as butterscotch blonde (a much more tasty-sounding name) then yes they are! I also fancy white Teles, but it’s been documented that I have a thing for white guitars. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Coincidentally, I was just learning a bit of ‘Ten Years Gone’ the other day. Such a good song, but I don’t know if I can sing it…

I finally finished learning it today. I feel so accomplished. a-hard-days-night-john-1 (Also it’s so stuck in my head, but that’s nothing new — ‘Ten Years Gone’ is a frequent earworm of mine. It’s just got that kind of eternal epic riff that keeps cycling round.)

While looking at the 2016 presidential candidates I learned 2 fun facts:

1. More people voted for Hillary but because of the way our 2 party system works Trump still won.

2. There are so many stupid 3rd party names like the pirate party, communism, the American party, the pacifist party, and not 1 but 2 political parties dedicated to marijuana (the marijuana part and legal marijuana now). It’s one thing to support recreational use like many including myself do but if you run for president, or anything for that matter, as part of the marijuana party, no one’s going to take you seriously, it’d be like me running under the SpongeBob party.

You are most likely to have a heart attack within three hours of waking up.

The most dangerous times for heart attack and for all kinds of cardiovascular emergency — including sudden cardiac death, rupture or aneurysm of the aorta, pulmonary embolism and stroke — are the morning and during the last phase of sleep. A group from Harvard estimated this risk and evaluated that on average, the extra risk of having a myocardial infarction, or heart attack, between 6 a.m. and noon is about 40%. But if you calculate only the first three hours after waking, this relative risk is threefold.

Crows and ravens have the ability to speak and they sound nothing like a parrot, the former sounds like a little kid while the latter sounds more like your average talking bird but not quite. I wonder what other animals can talk.

Kong? Gumi, a Japanese construction company, was once the oldest company in the world.  It was founded in 578 C.E. and stayed in business until it was acquired in 2006.  The oldest currently operating business in the world is Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, a hotel in Japan that has been in operation since 705.

In 1963, a sixteen-year-old student named Bruce McAllister sent a four-question survey about symbolism to 150 well-known authors after arguing with his English teacher.  Of these, seventy-five authors sent responses back.  Some of the authors who sent responses back include Jack Kerouac, Ayn Rand, Ralph Ellison, Ray Bradbury, John Updike, Saul Bellow, and Norman Mailer.  (Here are some of the responses that survive and more information.)

The term moxie, meaning spirit/determination, comes from Moxie, the soft drink. I had always assumed that it was the other way around. The soft drink was invented in 1885 and the earliest recorded use of the term was in 1930.

I think you can still be charged with obstruction of justice or part of a murder conspiracy.

If your friend murders someone, hopefully he’s a good enough friend to keep it to himself (or herself)
