I got 21 out of 24; 18th Century political groups, magistrates, and textile and engineering firms where the questions i got wrong. It might have been 20 out of 24 if Parlance hadnt told me who Richard Arkwright was but i may have guessed the correct answer.

Can you pass a UK citizenship test?

I got most of them right, but I didn’t know who Richard Arkwright was.

parlance

Also got that wrong. Also magistrates, which I think I knew the answer to dont know why I got it wrong, and where the Welsh assembly was.

21/24 pass!

22/24 – I got the magistrate and Arkwright wrong as well – but the Welsh one right – but then I am Welsh :)

Amazing how we all seem to get the Arkwright 50/50 wrong.

Stupid test that is.

20/24. A lot of the things are the same as in the Netherlands, except from the magistrates thing, and I didn’t know a few of them. Wasn’t that hard though. I’ve seen our citizenship test and believe me when I say that I would fail.

Very sad to hear of the death of Richard Attenborough. One of the greatest actors and directors of the 20th Century.

Agreed – I thought he was great in many films and of course did very well when he turned to directing.

Very sad news. I would think it is impossible for anyone not to love at least a handful of the films he was involved in, some breath-taking and will forever be held as classics.

Nope. Just a phrase in this case.

I will let everyone know that my idea of “camping” is a nice hotel room, en suite, with a comfy matress and pillows. No tents for Ahhh Girl.

Yeah, i got that. Grew up with that thru the dreadful tv (supposed but i never found it amusing in the slightest) comedy ‘Hi-Di-Hi – even the thought of it sends shivers down my spine.

I didnt mind camping until i did so thru what seemed like a monsoon at the time so now forget it. Give me a firm building with wallls and ceiling, multiple rooms, and central heating.

I was all for ditching the tents and going into a huge house which had tv’s, a kitchen, electricity, broadband etc. Man has spent years getting inside away from the wet and cold, why now go back to being outside and suffering all of that again?
