K!! And I give that a 9.7 because it would be ten, but that’s kind of an ugly number. paul-mccartney

Your list is pretty right on, but I would say that k is more Purple Mountains Majesty than it is khaki.

L. Periwinkle.

Also happens to be the first letter of my name. And I had never heard of the word ”periwinkle” before, what a wonderful word!

Yeah, it’s a neat name, and a cool color — sort of light blue-gray with a hint of lavender.

I first learned of it through the crayon:

Hehehe… I just thought of a way to derail this thread. The point of this thread is to talk about random things. So, if we all stick to one topic for a decent amount of posts, wouldn’t it technically be derailing the thread????

You almost had me convinced, but then I realized the logical flaw.  This room isn’t about randomness per se — it’s just about the impossibility of being derailed.  For that, there is no way to derail it.  There’s nothing to derail this room from.

I feel quite sad about the possible closure of the British music shop HMV. It´s been around for years and now it might go bust (partly) because of American superstores who don´t pay their tax. I can see the highstreet becoming a ghostown one day, everyone doing their shopping online.

Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

HMV hasnt adapted to the internet quickly enough and with money being tight for many customers are going online for cds and downloads. I havent bought a cd in HMV for years as i can get it for less online. Its certainly sad as the way the high street is going its going to be filled with poundshops, charity shops and a few big stores that can keep their finances above the rent charged but stores have to adapt to the internet age.

Um… I have a question… does anybody know what’s wrong with the song Taxman on iTunes? When I play it, it fades out during the guitar solo and stops altogether at 2:38. That’s not normal… is it?

EDIT: Oh, wait, I’m an idiot, aren’t I? 2:38 is the normal ending time. The guitar solo happens twice, once in the middle of the song and the other time during the outro. I just wasn’t paying attention… See, this is what happens when you’re trying to write a story and think about your schoolwork and post on the Beatles Bible, all at the same time.

The Revolver version is about that length. I’ve no idea about the fade-out during the solo though. Sounds interesting.

Funny interview. Love how George misbehaves by blowing smoke into the mic and Paul gets him to stop and then later on tells George to stop talking about Russia. A good example of Paul trying to be professional and the others not giving a stuff.
