I would say, “Thank you for asking me, but I don’t view you in a romantic way. I hope you do go with someone because you deserve it. We can still be friends though.” or something along those lines.

When we migrated to a new system at work, all the letters with diacritic marks disappeared in to the ether.

Trying to find and fix all the words has me feeling this line from Old Dirt Road “Trying to shovel smoke with a pitchfork in the wind”

blue-meanie

Yes, I’m even working on my days off to try to get a handle on the scope of the problem. The vendor can’t fix it for us.

@Rube, Von Bontee started that Beatles arrive in NYC TODAY thread 10 years ago as though it were 1964. We all played along as though we were in that time. So, now 10 years later, we are in 1974. That’s why I mentioned the energy crisis. And why we are taling about Paul and John’s early 70s releases.

VB made it to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ed Sullivan performance.

Is it just me or is there not as much hype for the Beatles landing in America anniversary as there had been the last decades? There’s articles here and there, but not like in the past where there was magazines, books, tv specials, news specials, etc. Is this a sign because the older generation, the boomers, is retiring and dying, so they’re not producing the article/specials? It’s not to say that The Beatles aren’t big, but people like me who were born way after were not impacted by their landing. In our world the Beatles have always been there.

Do you guys have any suggestions??? (I need them by the 15th…ahdn_paul_02)

Reporter: What do you and Ringo do while John and Paul write songs?

George: We play marbles.

Someone recently asked about John or The Beatles with cats or pets or animals. Does anyone remember where we just had that conversation? I have a picture to add.

The only one I remember was me asking about Paul and cats — probably in the Miscellaneous Questions for Paul thread?

Yes, thank you, Sea Belt.

https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..y/page-21/

I think that’s the thread, @Ahhh Girl.

There’s the underused ‘Animals’ thread if you decide the appropriate posts should be collected into one thread for ease of reference:

https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..h-beatles/

And in the end

The love you take is equal to the love you make

Thanks, both.

I used the Animal thread. The picture doesn’t directly have a Beatle in it, but I think it is closely related enough to go in the thread.

This question has been weighing on my mind for a long time.

Paul McCartney contributed a legendary performance on the new Rolling Stones album, Hackney Diamonds. During the bass solo, Mick Jagger eggs him on “come on, Paul, let’s hear some thing”. Then, faintly, you can hear Paul’s shouted reply. What does he say?

I believed it was either;

* “Yeah! f**k off!” or,

* “Yeah! Bite my head off!”

I just found out Paul’s old Hofner had been found and returned to him. Is every secret going to be known? Will we finally know about the ahhs and who really played bass on Helter Skelter ? a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Am I crazy to be thinking about a 50th anniversary reissue of Hackney Diamonds at this point?

It’s easier to wait a mere 15 years in anticipation of a “Steel Wheels” 50th anniv edition; also Mick n Keef have a better chance of still being alive at a spry 95 than at 110

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I mean, Hackney Diamonds DESERVES a 50th, right? It definitely deserves a Multi-Platinum certification. Why is it not charting in the UK past Gold?

2024 – This year (depends on when you read)a-hard-days-night-ringo-8

– approximately 4 Albums are 60

– “A Hard Day’s Night ” movie is 60

2025 – Next Year (depends on when you read)a-hard-days-night-ringo-8

– approximately 6 Albums are 60

– “Help !” movie is 60

Will we still listen just as much in 2034 when they are 70? I think so. 80? I don’t know…mccartney-shrug_01_gif
