The Ziggy Stardust head just makes me really disappointed…..why is its neck so inhumanely thick…..why are its face proportions like that

The Lady Di one looks kinda looks like my friend Mikey, though, and I find that hilarious.

In other news, I really want this cookbook badly

Unlikely that particular George wax head will be found again, I think, @sigh butterfly. My memory is that it was an ebay listing, and the picture disappeared when it was sold and the listing was taken down. It was back in the days – unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your view – before Joe encouraged us to upload images directly rather than link to them as links disappear.

Hey it’s my Pink Floyd forum alias ahdn_john_08_gif

Anyways, I’ve come to say since we’ve done Febrooary/Georgemas, will we be doing similar birthday months of appreciation for our other three lads? I nominate the names “C June/Maccamas” , “Ringorama” (I can’t think of any good July punsahdn_george_05)  and “Johntober”!

The reason why Febrooary took off here and started is because there’s a rampant mostly teenage girl George-fan population here who by their nature love to share photos, videos, quotes etc. and discuss the Almighty Harrison.

I don’t know if John, Paul or Ringo has such a (let’s use a kind word) ‘overenthusiastic’ as us freaks fans of George Harrison . The closest would be Paul and there’s really only a handful (at most) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PAUL YEAHHHHers on the Bible. John and Ringo are generally favoured by the cool lads and as befits a cool lad they don’t let out squeals when they see a photo of John Lennon looking like this.

(I’m waiting for one of them to reply to this and say ‘speak for yourself’).

However, if anyone wants to start a month-long fest for each member, I support it.

Also because George’s birthday comes late in the month, on the 25th, kind of like Christmas. We could do 18 Days of Macca sort of okay, but it would be giving John and especially Ringo the short shrift.

@Ahhh Girl could run all of C June by herself and it would be fabulous. I think it’s fair to give it a try. (but ONLY if Day 16 is devoted to Martha!! MARTHA FTW!!!!!)

Hey I’m not just rampant for George, I consider myself rampant for each Beatle equally. My Harrison hysteria just peaks during this time of year…..

Edit: I 100% support a fest for each Beatle.

While moisturising (seriously anyone who has dry skin and has an access to Boots pharmacy, I wholeheartedly recommend Soaper Duper’s body butter for dry skin, IT IS INCREDIBLE. My skin is normally very dry and I get little bumps on it and it’s sometimes flaky but this thing literally has me baby smooth after 2 days of use. It’s vegan, not tested on animals, naturally-derived AND they donate to Wateraid with every product purchased, bar the price tag what is not to like?! It is about €10 but I get a month and a half use out of a tub that I use every single day so it’s much better than a €2 one that would last me 2 months but I’m now ‘mildly dry’ skin instead of ‘very dry’), I was listening to a girl talking about why she liked being in Oxford and one of the reasons was that you can be multifaceted, like you can be studying medicine but you can be president of the journalist society and I think that was a bad example but you have to be a big jerk to be studying medicine and then take up the role of president of the journalist society. Especially as journalism is very much who you know and what you’ve done than how much you studied. Having the prestigious job of President of the Journalism Society for Oxford would be stellar on your CV and if I was studying journalism and some bloody doctor took the spot I’d be raging.

This is an entirely hypothetical situation but her example made me angry at the fictional medicine student.

Grrr.

I get very dry skin due to crappy underlying health reasons and have found Garnier Body Repair Hand Cream to be excellent. Have tried a good few over the years and none have worked as quick and as well, plus it’s damn cheap (can easily be bought for £2 a tube if you look around).

I wonder if this is the point in the forum when I’ve said everything ever possible.

^ I tried the green version of that the ‘Intensive 7 days’, a few years ago it was better than other ones I’d tried but still left me with ‘normal but on the drier side’ skin. They test on animals as well and I try and avoid that as much as possible (it’s difficult for makeup though, a lot of makeup makes dry skin on my eyelids crop up so I mostly use L’Oréal eye shadow when I have to wear it and although they don’t test on animals with the products they sell in Europe, they do sell in China where testing on animals is mandatory so I am facilitating it by wearing the eye shadow). You simply can’t win.

I’ve said this before but as a 7-year old my former GP who by then had practicing for probably 40+ years said I had the driest skin she’d ever seen. It really is something to be proud of.
