I’m sitting outside and I just heard ‘Something ‘ floating along the summer breeze.Edit: Oops, I think it was just my dad so maybe that doesn’t count? Anyway, it was nice.
Second edit: Confirmed it was a neighbour, not my dad, who’s playing the whole Abbey Road album.
Heard them playing it again today. I took the opportunity to climb up my favourite tree, which happens to be nearby that particular neighbour, and sat there slightly singing along with the neighbour who was also slightly singing along.
If you ever get the opportunity, listen to Abbey Road whilst sitting in a tree as it floats along the summer breeze from a neighbour’s. I guarantee it is an extra-excellent listening experience.
Today I heard that same neighbour getting the Led out with Houses of the Holy, another superlative summer afternoon album. I sat in my tree (no one I think was in it) and listened to it with them from ‘The Rain Song’ to ‘D’yer Mak’er’, at which point someone changed the music. It was utterly idyllic.
I’m thinking of slipping a note in this person’s mailbox saying ‘I dig your taste in summer-afternoon listening, please keep it up’

I just spent an afternoon clearing out the garage that we just bought. 10 years of yucky in there. I sure hope I don’t get sick. I am exhausted.

I think I’m at my happiest when I’m on a balcony overlooking a view, preferably at the evening and with a nice cold drink with ice blocks. It gives me great peace, contemplating things.

vonbontee, ewe2, SgtPeppersBulldogI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I remember I had an English teacher who would let me write essays analyzing Beatles songs for extra credit or comparing them to classic English literature and it was the BEST THING. I remember I wrote a three page paper on Strawberry Fields Forever and I thought it was the biggest achievement of my life.

I’ve been counting up the repeats of the keyboard figures in Muse’s adaptation of ‘Man with a Harmonica’ for my bandmates’ reference. My brain is fried from all those odd numbers, 13 and 5 and 11 WTF?!?!?!!

For the new users, I have an obsession with BTTF. I adore it and I want to marry 1985 Michael J Fox, simple as.
I’m seriously considering doing a day trip to Manchester next year purely to go see the new BTTF musical that is premiering there. I’ll probably cry tbh, I love those films so much. I went to Dublin last year purely to watch BTTF on a big outdoor cinema screen, it was glorious.
Every time George punches Biff, I cheer and cry.
BTTF involves a lot of crying for me, as you can see.

Oh man I’d love to have that. Imagine how much Brian Wilson/Wrecking Crew-esque music I could make with it!
