@TheWalrusWasBrian It is perfectly clear that, with initials like that, you simply cannot name her anything other than David Gilmour!
...Okay, fine, Davina Gilmour
Or since it's DG60, you could name it after one of the tracks from Gilmour's album On An Island, which a) is really good and b) was released on his 60th birthday.
One of the songs, a favourite of mine with one of his best guitar solos ever (IMO), is 'The Blue'. You could call her Blue.
Alternately the first track, 'Castellorizon', has a really cool name.
'Smile' is acoustic, though I don't know how you'd take a name from that track.
Just some thoughts...

I’ve only played two gigs before on guitar as the lead singer/rhythm player, however they were both one off performances. I’ve mostly played keys with my band in highschool. Next week, I have my first ever performance on lead guitar. I’m in a jazz ensemble with a pianist, horns, bass, and me on guitar. We are playing some classic Charlie Parker, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins and a few other tunes.
I need to practice!

Some guitars are boys, some are girls, that's how I roll The Fallout has a name, she's Surfy. I kind of like the idea Todd Rundgren had, he has a seafoam green Strat-style (some Japanese make from the 80's) guitar he calls Foamy and a Tele called Butters (guess what colour that is). Surfy would have more surfiness (that's another new word I made up) with a trem, but she sounds close enough to a proper surfy guitar anyway. That makes 3 girl guitars and 2 boy basses in my rack.
Discovered today that the P90 does like a bit of overdrive, just enough to move it from pianoey warmth to gritty warm, and it's plenty spanky then. My new regime is guitar practice after breakfast for as long as my fingers can take it which is about an hour and a half right now. I might need that set of NXYL's with the lower tension on the b and e strings, it gets pretty tough at the top end with the one's I have now which I'm assuming are EXP11's or 10's (very common here, the same on the SG but the tension there is lower). However it does seem that my modded compression pedal mods it too far to the liking of humbuckers vs single-coils so perhaps I need to try out a different one, its pretty transparent on the Fallout, the attack knob basically does nothing (whereas before it was too hard on a humbucker).

Hmmmmmmm you are COMPLETELY RIGHT! I have failed the floyd! Now, it definitely has to be Gilmour/ Pink Floyd related....

@Beatlebug OH MY KRISHNA I HAVE IT! Went a bit off track... but Emily. From See Emily Play. (I may love Syd more than the entire band combined...) she definitely sounds like an Emily with that sweet voice of hers. Now Janine must have a formal introduction with her.

My guitars are all genderless until I give them names, and then, if the name is gendered, they become gendered... I let the name dictate the gender (if applicable), not the other way 'round.
Recently I'd gotten out of the habit of Ascending to a Higher Level of Guitarnesse -- I hadn't been playing as much and kinda lost my fire. Last night I decided to put some Floyd backing tracks on and Gilmoured till my brain almost boiled over from The Inner Light . It was pretty spiritual. I felt like I've re-found my sense of purpose.

Guitar purchases: a bunch of Ernie Ball picks that never arrived in the mail (sending a terse but assertive email about that) but a DOD Carcosa Fuzz pedal that did, from America, cheaper than locally, within a week of ordering (that's some kind of Christmas USPS miracle). The Carcosa is a silicon fuzz pedal that does everything from (mostly clean) boost to overdrive to distortion to several different flavours of fuzz. It also works with bass guitars. It's the best pedal I've ever owned, and the only problem is now I have to remember all the settings I like. DOD or Digitech got bought out by another company, Harman who promptly sacked all the people who made their pedals 🙁 On the bright side, I can now nail the guitar sounds of most of the White Album 😀

I picked up Emily and played the melody of I Will on her because I can. I feel weirdly accomplished about this simple act.

I've been exercising my inner guitar freak with my carcosa fuzz. I can sing and play Pretty In Pink fairly convincingly now. Had an aha moment with the solo to Something , realizing that George was using the sound of passing over the frets as part of the sound of it and being mind-blown. That's also something Lennon did on a regular basis as a rhythm player, using noise to add emotion.

What brand is the bass, it looks nice.
As for the name, in the episode I Call Your Name of The Beatles TV show, Ringo has a pet frog named Bartholomew, that might work.

It's an Artist JB2, in sunburst.
I like that name - if I was to shorten it, Barth sounds good too...

You actually have a bass to play on and no excuse not to. Go for it. It ain't that hard if you can play guitar -- it's just like a guitar*, except with two less strings and much cooler.
*actually that's not true, it's a different beast if you do it right, but I mean as far as beginning mechanics
