What are the feelings on “sharenting”? Parents sharing pictures of their children online that those children are less than happy to discover have been shared. Forever.

Parents should be very very very very very careful about what photos of their children they post to the Internet. Preferably none. It’s one thing to find embarrassing kid pics on your mom’s Facebook, it’s a whole nother thing to find pedophiles looking through your embarrassing kid pics on your mom’s Facebook.

Offline There’s a level that is acceptable.
For instance, a photo of parent&child playing scrabble, or cricket, or cooking etc is perfectly fine.
There are obvious times when the line is passed, and I think that starts with photos of kids swimming. Most kids won’t care about that, but some definitely will.
Some kids won’t care later on, too, but banking on one’s kid not caring is not a good idea.

I don’t delete anything, and coupled with the fact that a lot of that is back-and-forth writing of songs between other BB-ers, I’ve racked up those messages quickly.
