Offline How did everybody spend their New Years’ Eve?
We had a couple friends over to celebrate New York time. After they left, my brother and I watched TV until 11:58, when we went to the kitchen and got cups with maybe 3 cm of water in them and stood in front of the (digital) clock and waited 12:00. Then we awkwardly chugged the water and went back to the TV. Fun times, fun times.

Offline I had the Madness concert and fireworks from London on the TV, a bottle or two of toffee apple cider.
Just before midnight @Ahhh Girl and family connected with me via Zoom to see my New Year in with me so I wasn’t on my own (I really love these people 
).
Ended up after the midnight hour with us chatting about parsnips and chlorinated chicken for a bit!!!

How did everybody spend their New Years’ Eve?
I stayed home and watched TV all night. I flipped between the Twilight Zone marathon and the Mythbusters marathon before midnight. I caught the last five minutes of the dumb local countdown to midnight.
After midnight, I put on a DVD of Laurel and Hardy shorts and had a couple beers.
(I don’t think I’ve ever said the word midnight so much in a single post. By the way, did I ever mention that I was born nine minutes to midnight?)

Offline My dad and I had every intention of writing a song but my mum went to bed early and said ‘that will be too loud’ so we watched an episode of Top Gear then walked down to the water to watch Melbourne’s fireworks from across the bay. Really quite good actually!

So I’ve been away and wow, a lot has happened in this thread… and aww, poor Weepy ya make it sound so sad (but I didn’t really do anything either) 
1) I will not eat any chocolate sweeter 70 percent. My favourite is 85% but I also like 90 and 95% because I am crazy about insanely bitter chocolate. 
2) I am 5’9″ (~175cm) and I do not stand up straight at all — I’m too gay to stand up straight 
just kidding but I do slouch because I’m a teenager who is desperately trying to look cool and laddish.
3) Didn’t do much in particular. I think I just spent the evening in my usual way, lounging around listening to music and drawing. Oh, I did listen to/watch the vid for ‘Ding Dong, Ding Dong ‘ when the clock struck midnight though.
