This thread is for songs (Beatles or non Beatles, and same artist or not) that sound similar.  It could be a section of the songs or a similar stylistic thing in the songs.

I feel like “In My Car” by Ringo Starr , and “Wake Up My Love” by George Harrison have very similar intros.

George’s Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) reminds me just a little bit of I Want You by Bob Dylan.

I'm Necko.  I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.

I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

Ode To Viceroy- Mac Demarco and My Kind Of Woman – Mac Demarco (a lot of Mac’s music sounds similar but these two in particular strike me as being too similar)

Siberian Khatru- Yes and Yankee Doodle (it’s the part that goes “even Siberia goes through the motions”)

My Sweet Lord George Harrison and He’s So Fine- The Chiffons (you should all know this onea-hard-days-night-george-10)

We Used To Know- Jethro Tull and Hotel California- Eagles (same chord progression)

Also, a lot of music from EarthBound (which is my favorite video game and is known as Mother 2 in Japan) sounds like songs by The Beatles or other classic rock bands. Here’s some examples:

(listen to the keyboards)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?…..RL5TWF_0eU

And here’s a neat video about a bunch of samples they used in the soundtrack.  Pretty cool considering that this was probably the first video game soundtrack to do stuff like this

The intro of “To Whom It May Concern”  Terry Draper sounds a lot like the intro to “Strawberry Fields Forever

Wow. It sounds stunningly similar: almost a direct rip. I listened on Spotify, and I see that song came out this year. Kind of amazing.

Actually it came out like 2ish years ago in 2014.  This is the drummer from Klaatu(The mid 70’s band that people thought were the Beatles), A lot of his music as well as Klaatu’s music sounds much like the Beatles.  I just posted this because the song came up and I legitly thought it was SFF for a second.

Of course, everybody knows the similarities of Come Together compared to Chuck Berry’s You Can’t Catch Me and My Sweet Lord compared to He’s So Fine.

Then there’s I Saw Her Standing There blatantly ripping the bassline from Chuck Berry’s I’m Talking About You.

Here’s a couple I can think of that are not Beatles-related at all.

Starfuckers, Inc. (Dave Ogilvie Remix) by Nine Inch Nails (0:20-0:40) has a very similar riff to the main riff of Pigs (Three Different Ones) by Pink Floyd.

Warning by Green Day has almost exactly the same riff as Picture Book by the Kinks.

Time Bomb by Godsmack and Last by Nine Inch Nails are the same damn song.

And then, of course, there’s Led Zeppelin, who have ripped off everybody under the sun.

Oh come on, it’s true and you know it!

More:

Cigarettes and Alcohol by Oasis nicks the riff from Get It On by T-Rex

Sam Smith’s Stay With Me sounds like Won’t Back Down by Tom Petty. I believe he even got co-writing credits for it now.

Some Nights by Fun has a part that sounds an awful lot like Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel

I’ve always contended that Why Don’t You Get a Job? by The Offspring sounds very similar to “Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da”.
