Same – and have been for many a year.  I have a few of his CDs and DVDs, plus of course the Wilbury album.  Just an awesome voice and some of his songs are so well suited to it.

Some nice tracks there; I also like In Dreams and, oddly, Penny Arcade (it was the first song I happened to hear on the radio after we migrated to Oz so it just brings back memories).

For those of you just discovering Roy Orbison, here is a good one of his that is kind of off his “greatest hits” radar: It’s a duet with Emmylou Harris, “That Loving You Feeling Again.”

Just ordered a cd of his from the library. They had 3 or 4 going and so can’t remember which one it is. Looking forward to it as his voice is incredible. I know his big songs (Oh, Pretty Woman , I Drove All Night,  Blue Bayou, Crying etc) so will be great to go a little deeper.

I started getting interested in him after reading about him in Beatlemania:  The Real Story of the Beatles’ UK Tours.  I remember him from the late 80’s as he was popular when I was in high school / college.

So far I’ve got a 3-disc set called Anthology that has all of his material up to 1962, as well as a reissue of the 1987 album of re-recorded hits, In Dreams: The Greatest Hits…and I’ve got a CD on order with two albums on it, In Dreams and Orbisongs.  I’m only missing a handful of songs from the Monument recordings, and I’ll probably collect those on the set of Monument singles in mono.

“Drove All Night” always brings tears to my eyes. He has an incredible voice which always manages to send shivers down my spine.
