R.I.P Jerry Stiller, nowadays probably best known as Ben Stiller's dad and for playing George Costanza's dad on "Seinfeld." He was a native of my home borough, Brooklyn, and with his wife, Anne Meara, was a regular Ed Sullivan performer.

Bob Dylan's response to Little Richard's death, via twitter on 9 May:
I just heard the news about Little Richard and I'm so grieved. He was my shining star and guiding light back when I was only a little boy. His was the original spirit that moved me to do everything I would do.
I played some shows with him in Europe in the early nineties and got to hang out in his dressing room a lot. He was always generous, kind and humble. And still dynamite as a performer and a musician and you could still learn plenty from him.
In his presence he was always the same Little Richard that I first heard and was awed by growing up and I always was the same little boy. Of course he'll live forever. But it's like a part of your life is gone.

Honestly I didn't recognized him by name so I googled him. Now I know who he is, I knew him as George Constanza's father. The guy from "festivus", he was hilarious.
He surely will be missed

More dreadful news for Beatles fans, Astrid Kirchherr died on Tuesday, aged 81 (a few days off her 82nd birthday).
It's impossible to think of the early Beatles without thinking of Astrid, with her photographs remaining the most iconic early photos of the group, as well as her influence on their style and look.
RIP Astrid Kirchherr (20 May 1938 - 12 May 2020)
Danke schön...

That's heavy Such a tragedy to have another Beatles icon taken from us, but at least now she's with Stu at last......
Has Paul remarked anything about it, yet? I know Ringo wasn't necessarily around for that era.....
