I tend to find a lot of Punk to be overrated. But i do like my fair share of Ramones, Green Day, Bad Brains, and Minor Threat.

i'm more of a fan of Proto Punk groups like The Velvet Underground and The Stooges

I've been listening to a lot of Green Day lately. The reason i like punk is because it's super easy to play on guitar, it's mostly power chords so you can just pick up and play along and on the occasion that there's a solo, the solo is more often than not super easy to play. Punk is also great if you have a short attention span or just simply hate it when songs are super long because punk songs are typically under 3 minutes in length.

Yeah, in a way they kinda perfected it before it really even had a name, along with the MC5 and Hamburg Fabs and even Led Zep's "Communication Breakdown"

One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"
