They're the Beatles' favorite colors, actually, but that works too a-hard-days-night-george-9

Here's an updated link:

https://www.politicalcompass.o.....7CScarlett

If you want to add to the link, pay close attention to this part.

spots=-7.75%7C-7.95%7CHoley,2.63%7C-3.28%7CBeatlebug,-5.5%7C-6.7%7CDO,-5.25%7C-6.21%7CFiddy,-3.25%7C-6.26%7CScarlett

For demonstration purposes, we'll be adding the 2 main US political parties to the list. For Republicans, we'll say they're 7 economic and 3 social and for Democrats, we'll say their 4 economic and 5 social.

So we'll type those numbers into the link followed by %7C like so:

https://www.politicalcompass.o.....7CDemocrat

Don't forget to list the name at the end followed with a comma.

Tall, dark-haired QuarryMan likes basketball, music, and naturally, boys. He was a valuable participant on the track team. He is one of Freeport's great contributors to the recording world. As for the immediate future, QuarryMan has no plans, but will take life as it comes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but most of us in the bottom left corner are ~<20 years old? That kind of backs up my point way back in this thread when I was arguing that younger people are more left than the people who think we're further right than previous generations think.

Would be interesting to see what would happen with a few more adults on the list.

Not to mention that us younger people are a hell of a lot more libertarian than previous generations.

The older people on this forum appear to fit with the Labour (or Democratic) party (as opposed to us youngsters who would fit better with the Libertarian or Green party), so i'd expect them to be in the authoritarian center-right.

Honestly, I don't care to affiliate myself with any political party. I don't want to let a party dictate my beliefs, and I don't want to deal with the division and prejudices that come with belonging to a political group. I'm much happier on my own.

But if a political party perfectly summed up your views, hypothetically would you affiliate yourself with them?

Tbh I don't think so. For one, my views aren't set in stone, and I wouldn't want to feel pressured to keep them from changing. Also, I really wouldn't want people to assume things about me based only on my party. I have enough trouble trying to figure out my labels already without worrying about political parties as well.

I've generally gone for the general principle, @50yearslate, that I don't support a political party but vote for the one that supports me.

Means I'll vote, and I'll always vote, for the party I disagree with least and agree with most based on that election's offering.

It's not important to have a political party, it's always important to take part in the process and vote though. Not only have people around the world and throughout history died for the right to vote, but you're also more likely to find yourself with a Government doing things you totally disagree with and hate if you choose not to take part in the process.

I hate those who don't vote and spend the next few years complaining about what their Government's up to. I'm quite a fan of enforced compulsory voting as too often it's the can't-be-bothered's who dictate an election's result.

Very interesting. Fair enough.

I'm not trying to get you to align to a party at all - but I don't agree with every single policy of the party I support (Australian Greens). Sure, I agree with most, but over 90% for me is a good enough rate to fully support a party, even if I disagree with some aspects.
