Without being sure who it is, a guess is all that can be had. I'd go for drums since the female drummer was and remains a rarity.

Unusual instrument for a woman to play in general (i cant think of anything usual for a woman to play or why it would be) or for anyone to play in a pop/jazz/soul/rock? Im going for the kazzoo which would be an unusual intrument to appear in a band.

Is that Phoebe Snow? I'm not sure what she played...nothing unusual, I'm pretty sure.
For a minute I thought it might be Alice Coltrane but she's dead! Plus I don't think I'd ever seen her dress like that...
Good question! I don't think I wanna guess what she played without being sure who she is.

If it is Phoebe Snow, she was a guitarist, and I don't think female guitarists are that unusual...

Oh damn, I kinda recognize her now! Had no idea she was still going strong...no idea she did anything in music after the first few Family Stone albums, actually.
