Cobain was the songwriter as well. While Dave Grohl began writing just before Cobain’s death, fans would have been pissed had they replaced Kurt.

I think it would be hard to replace Kurt as he was the main songwriter but I am glad they didn’t keep the band going after Kurt died and did separate projects.

I did enjoy the track Give Me Some Slack with Paul McCartney and the guys from Nirvana though.

@Dark Overlord They tried to do that with Pat Smear, aka their touring guitarist in late 1993-April 1994. He was also the one with the striped guitar in their MTV Unplugged performance.

This is Pat with Nirvana, on the far right.

I like a few Nirvana songs, particularly Breed, which oddly reminds me a lot of Echo and the Bunnymen. The Unplugged was an amazing gig, I love the cover of the Bowie song The Man Who Sold The World, not just for the brilliant interpretation but that aching solo.

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.
