I don’t know the context in which the statement was made, if it was made (you say “If I recall correctly”).
I know you’re a fan of MJ, ASJ, but I’m afraid there was enough rumour, accusation and criminal charges around him that you cannot say people do not have a right to an opinion. Lots is known, and I have no reason to believe he doesn’t know as much as you, just that he reached a different conclusion.
Remember, OJ was found innocent in a criminal court and guilty in a civil court.
I joined the forum after Mr. Sun King had stopped posting. I can’t think of any post of his I’ve read that I had a problem with. He was a valuable member of this community, and still is, should he reappear.
Be aware, present or past member of the forum, the mods would not allow any member to be “torn … apart” because you disagree with their view, no more than we would allow you to be torn apart for your views.
I disagree with much of the opinion about Yoko here. I accept they are entitled to those views however, and offer an opinion when I feel the need – but I never make it about the person who made the comment.
Remember, one of our few rules is to treat other members with respect, even when you disagree with their opinion.

Offline I really like(d) mr. sun king. Sure his posts could be hot at times but what he posted made sense most of time (i might not have always agreed however); he spoke his mind, was honest, and whilst fiery at times, he also admitted when he was wrong, and had a wicked sense of humour. A lot of what he said was never meant to be harmful to anyone and he sure stood up for others. It was a sad loss to the site when he stopped posting.
Thankfully there have been very very few (counting could be done on two fingers) assholes on here looking to start hell on earth in my time, all went as quickly as they arrived; Mr. sun king was light years away from being anywhere near that department.
Would be delighted if he returned.

I do hope everything is ok with Mr. Sun King , its normal for folks to stop posting as life takes over but considering how much of a presence he was and the amount of posts made it was a strange one for him to suddenly stop. I don’t even remember him even giving a hint he was moving on or taking a break.

Offline It’s one of the strange and potentially sad things about online relationships I think about at times. You develop a closeness to people, but you have no other way of contacting them if anything happens. He stopped posting before I joined, but it’s clear quite a few people here are fond of him and I hope he’s okay.

Offline I’m at the Hollywood Bowl. Which I think is safe to say is far warmer than it is here in East TN, which calls for a high of 34 degrees tonight.
