Hello there,

My first encounter with Beatles music was when I was 5 or 6 and my father was playing Abbey Road at full blast in the basement, the vinyl that is... Circa 1978 or 79. Then, I rediscovered them when I was 12 or 13 and I immediately wanted all their albums. My father already had Abbey Road, Magical Mystery Tour and the White Album and I found Sgt Pepper on one of his reel-to- reel tape.

Back then, in 85 or 86, one of his brother duplicated all his 8 tracks cartridges (yuk!!!) to cassettes for me and I listened to them repeatedly...

Years passed and I studied music and became a music teacher 20 years ago (elementary school). During these years, my musical taste has been wider going from jazz, classical, modern pop, old rock and progressive, world music, etc... Now, I listen to the Beatles differently obviously and I'm always amazed by what they bring to our actual world, particularly in the music scheme.

Two weeks ago, I stumbled by accident on this site and since then, I've almost read all the topics in the recording/technique sub forum!

Mind you, I am a real fan, having all kind of Beatles things. Obviously, a lot of vinyls, cups, glasses, fridge magnets, keychains, posters, etc... Even some original bubble heads Beatles from the sixties.

As soon as I have an opportunity, I talk about the Beatles to my young students and let them listen to their artistic and technical masterpieces.

Welcome, Patrice! Have a great stay here!

After my music teacher had gradually converted me into a Beatlemaniac, I swore to thank every music teacher I get to know who tells their students about the Beatles, so:

Thank you a lot for spreading the love and fascination for the greatest band on earth!!!! That's a really fabulous thing to do!a-hard-days-night-george-9

Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Hey all,

I have been a Beatles fan since I was little and my love for their music never stopped. What sets the Beatles apart from other bands for me is not only that they were gifted with talent and passion, but that they tried to influence the world in a positive way, something still very much needed until this day.

Greetings from Germany, Alfred aka Obladi Oblada

Welcome to the forum @Obladi Oblada, it's great to have you with us, I hope you enjoy your stay here! Can't wait to hear more from you!

I totally agree with what you said about the Beatles, they really brought love to the world, not only fangirl/boy kind of love but actual love.

Übrigens: Ich komme auch aus Deutschland! Grüße von der Ostsee! a-hard-days-night-john-6

Hello everyone!! I'm not really sure if this specific forum is still active, but quite frankly, I know absolutely nothing about this site as of right now! Anyway, I'm so happy I've found a website just for Beatles fans! I feel like I've found my people...

My name is Dani. I'm currently 14 years old (I'm a baby I know), and I live in America. I've been a Beatles fan since birth (literally), as my parents were huge fans and decided to pass on the torch to me. I can play piano, bass, guitar, and ukulele, (all self taught, by the way. feel free to applaud). I also love singing and writing songs!

I dislike school a LOT. I'm sure this is a typical phrase used by nearly every high school aged student, but I just feel like our time would be better spent doing something more productive, yknow?

I have a tendency to be very VERY sarcastic. Obviously this is an issue as 99% of the time people can't tell if I'm being serious or not. Needless to say, if I ever happen to say something weird or offensive, you can bet it's just my strange sense of humor coming through.

I like a lot of different types of music, but I'm mainly drawn to rock, indie, and pop. I absolutely adore classic rock and underrated bands, so if you have any artists you like, feel free to recommend them to me!!

I've been a vegetarian for two years now. It's basically the only thing I've ever been able to commit to and so I'm very proud. I'm sure Paul would be as well.

My favorite Beatles albums are Revolver, Help!, and Rubber Soul. What do you guys like?

My favorite Beatle is definitely Paul. I feel as though I can relate to him a bit, and I just love his personality! George is a close second though!!

My Beatles obsession tends to teeter on the unhealthy side. But, what are Beatles fansites for if not to share these types of things? Bottom line, I love the beatles, and I'm excited to be joining here!! 🙂
