Hello from another new person! I grew up hearing Beatles albums a lot at home: my parents were born in England in the early 50s and grew up right in the thick of Beatlemania—I’m jealous tbh. I never used to be that into them myself, until a couple of months ago when I for some reason gained an intense obsession and started listening to the White Album several times a week and here I am now apparently.
I have nothing like the insane level of Beatles knowledge most of you seem to have (I just like listening to their songs) so I’ll probably continue mostly lurking and learning new stuff every day (i.e. thanks!). My favourite Beatle’s Paul and my mum told me today hers is John so I guess I’m just counting down the days until I’m disowned

Welcome @never wears a mac! Have a great Beatley time on the forum! And don’t worry about not having an ‘ insane level of Beatles knowledge’ – when I joined I didn’t even know about the Apple Rooftop Concert but once you start you can’t stop to delve further and further into the Beatles universe!
By the way, there are several other Paul enthusiasts on here…

Your mom is one smart lady, @never wears a mac. I think a lot of us are a bit jealous of your parents being “there” when it happened.
Paul is, well, Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

never wears a macI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Welcome to Fourumpool, @never wears a mac! I’m pretty sure the reason most of these people have the majority of their Beatles knowledge is because they spend time on here. Thats the case for me.

Greetings.
So, this is Forumpool? It’s nice to be here. With regards to my history of The Beatles, it started fairly recently, about in February. I was at a friend’s house, and he was showing me his turntable, along with the misc. records he has. When introducing the first album we’d listen to, he asked, “You want to hear the best album ever made?” Yes, I thought. Behold, it was Abbey Road . After giving it a listen and heading home, Come Together was ringing in my head. After that, extensive research along with collecting the albums has brought me here.
Also, your array of Beatle related emoticons are quite nice too.

Welcome to the forum @Jay_1! Your story of getting into the Beatles sounds very cool! I’m also only a very recent Beatles fan (December last year) so it’s nice to see someone with a similar Beatles backstory. Enjoy the Beatles from every perspective and many different views on certain songs or albums on this forum!
By the way, do you also think Abbey Road is the greatest album ever like your friend does?

At this point, I can’t really say. I’ve come to like Revolver as much as Abbey Road , so they’re kind of both my favorite now. It’s quite difficult to choose..

Quite a difficult choice indeed. My pick is Revolver , but without Abbey Road , i’m not sure I would have been turned on to the magic of Beatles album craft.

Welcome to Fourumpool, @Jay_1! I call it Fourumpool, but I think I’m the only one who adds the extra U to make it say 4umpool. I’ve been a Beatles fan for pretty much my whole life, but I’ve just recently started collecting Beatles records in December. I’d love to see what Beatles records you’ve collected so far. It’s always fun to compare collections.
