Hi I'm new here!  I registered awhile ago, but just started posting a little more.  I've been a Beatle fan since I was a kid, but took a break when I was a teenager.  I was doing the rebellion thing, but once I got to my early twenties, I started listening again.

@vonbontee uh the buying drinks thing will make me go broke, so you'll have to take a Rain-check.
*snap* oh! Hi to all the new people and thanks to the established members for welcoming me in.

Rain check won't cover it - better make it your RENT check instead! :D You can take turns sleeping on all of our couches.

Welcome again! And to any other rebels reading this forum, you rebel to The Beatles, not away from them.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 So glad we didn't have to buy you drinks when I joined!

I won't give clues because you know I enjoy being anonymous, but I'm definitely within my first 99.7 years of life! Good guess!

Hi! My name is John (named after one Mr Lennon), and I live in Shropshire in the UK. I am in my mid 40s and have been a Beatles fan since 1982 when I discovered them in my late Dad's record collection. Loved all the old albums and singles he had (which I still have), and played them to death. Then I began buying my own copies and built up my collection.

John is my favourite Beatle, but I love them all.

Anyway, that's me! :)

The Beatles saved the world from boredom.

Hello, beatlejohn! Welcome!

Was your father still alive when you discovered his records? Did you get to share your love of the Beatles with him? Or did you you discover his record collection after he passed?

Either way, I'm glad your dad had the records there waiting for you to discover them.
