Went shopping today. My routine: I cook beef stir fry and put it into Tupperware, and cut cheese and gherkin and put that in Tupperware. I also have a supply of yoghurt, dried fruit and nuts. That’s what I’ve been having for a while. And ICE CREAM with topping. Not a bad life. Would like to have a picnic with a special somebody though. I’ve been looking at potential locations.

Feck! You seem to have terrible luck with this sort of thing. Hope you can figure out a solution soon (and that maybe the laptop could still be under warranty?)!

Best of luck with your laptop situation, RN apple01 the forum needs its Roncyclopedia!

The job description applies to me only, of course! a-hard-days-night-george-10 It would be against labor laws for my sister to hold a job at her age and my mom and step-dad are accountants a-hard-days-night-paul-7! So I guess that would make them lovelymotheraccountant and lovelystepfatheraccountant…..and so then my brother would be lovelybrotherengineer?– but that’s too many letters and I’m incredibly lazy! so I’ll just stick to lovelymother, lovelystepfather, lovelysister, and lovelybrother imao ahdn_john_08_gif

The blessing of good friends is also a curse. When I’m struggling to get to bed earlier, my (slightly wine-drunk) friend asks at 1 in the morning to talk for “20ish minutes”. Two and a half hours later, my friend is no longer drunk, and I no longer have a chance to get to bed at even a half-decent hour. Ugh paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif Oh, and that’s not to mention said friend narrating her conversations with old lovers to me, and complaining how she hasn’t been with anyone since February (to which I usually respond something like, “girl, I haven’t been with anyone since February of last year, so please shut up). It’s a time, I tell ya.

But, being the generally lonely person I am and being that quarantine has got me feeling blue, I am grateful to have such friends. [Insert obligatory With A Little Help From My Friends reference here a-hard-days-night-ringo-12]

I know how much you hate typing on your phone, @Ron Nasty . Here’s hoping you get a new laptop soon. I imagine you don’t want to try to do Zoom meetings on your phone.

I get that. I miss my friends a lot and I’ve been occasionally video chatting with some of them, but the chats can sometimes go on a long time (one for almost four hours) and I want to be social but not that social. On the other hand it’s so nice to have friends to talk to. I had a very long conversation about Severus Snape and why Draco should have gotten a redemption arc instead of him with a friend today and it was honestly the highlight of my day.

I’m an independent person anyway, but when I go back to work and such I feel I’m going to be even more so. I’m the ‘can’t get no worse’ type of humour/mindset, and I like that it separates me from most people. I clearly see more than ever what I need to do, and what I want to do.

Hi everyone. I’ve been off of the forum for a bit. I’ve been somewhat busy recently with health issues, but I’m doing a lot better now. I left my house for the first time in over a month yesterday to go to see a neurologist and I finally was able to get some answers. Online schoolwork has been tough, so much that I’m considering homeschooling next year. Being homeschooled could help in the long run as I’ll have more time to learn what I want to learn but I won’t see my friends as often. I’ve still got time to decide though. I’ve been working on practicing my piano and voice more. I’m hoping to teach myself some more Beatles songs soona-hard-days-night-george-9 I’ve also been learning about and practicing writing and voice acting.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day! heart

Good to hear from you, @TangerineTrees! I’m sorry to hear that you were having health issues, but I’m really glad that you’re feeling a lot better and I wish you plenty of good health from this point onward john-lennon-salute_gifheartAnd as for your school plans– I do hope that whatever decision you come to is one that will leave you satisfied, educated, and happy. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif a-hard-days-night-george-9

It sounds like you’re making the best of it, @TangerineTrees. I know all too well the struggles of medical issues screwing up one’s education and social life. We’re all here if you need some cheery Beatley distractions!

As for my life, let’s see…Well, there are nine (loud) baby chicks that arrived today in the mail. My mom is going slightly insane. Then again, I think she already had to be slightly insane to order so many baby chicks in the first place…

In other news, I got a new therapist! I’ll be having my first proper session with him tomorrow afternoon. I may have spent much of last night stressing about what I’d say to him, but I suppose that comes with this sort of stuff.

I hope you’re all having a lovely day!

I just wanted to pop in for a bit and say sorry I haven’t been on in a while, but I’m alive. My boyfriend and I are considered essential workers, so we haven’t stopped. I do home care and he does parks and rec (landscaping) for the city we live in. We both had to take the covid-19 test, but they were both negative.

He had to take his because a coworker who has a grandmother and now a son with covid refused to stay home or wear a mask. Well he didn’t inform my boyfriend or the others until the next day when he was joking about it; however, by then they had already been exposed to him such as being in the same vehicle. This coworker is now on home leave as well as another crew from the city that my boyfriend does not come in contact.

I had to take the test because I had a stomach virus due to my hiatal hernia and not covid-19; however, because stomach virus is a symptom of covid-19 they made me get test for that as well as strep and flu. All were negative; furthermore, I haven’t had strep in almost 20 years when I got my tonsils taken out.a-hard-days-night-john-1

Another of the 8k things I have bought whilst off due to the virus (I need to get back to work to stop buying stuff as soon I will be bankrupt) is a foot spa as I walk a lot and health issues also give my feet problems. It’s wonderful.

You’re like my friend except you’ve actually bought useful stuff. She now owns a jacket and runners that have multiple pairs of tits on them- spent about €150 on them, worth it.
