Offline Currently relaxing at home on an extended long weekend, so hopefully I can catch up a little more on posts and PMs around here. Believe me, I’m trying!
Also: My family is travelling in about a week or so, and we’ll be gone around a week, so I might not be around here then. I’m looking forward to it, but not the over-8-hour-drive it entails. But, such is life when you live in the second largest country in the world.

Offline My friend found a really nice AirBnB (ten minutes from the beach!!) in Scotland last week so today we’re heading off up there

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Offline I’m in Belfast tomorrow with a friend, and my brother. It’s going to be very Game of Throne-sy (celebrating what could have been one of the best shows of all time but turned into a rotten mess by the end- tragic). Tomorrow, we’re doing a mural tour (getting to meet a real-life Tan wow, I kid, I kid but we will meet a Unionist, and a Republican political prisoner so that’s pretty cool), and the Game of Thrones exhibition which is a look at a lot of the costumes that were worn through the show.
Wednesday, we’re going to do the ‘Winterfell’ tour which shows all of the Stark locations in and around Belfast and in the evening I’m surprising my brother with Avenue Q which just happened to be on at the time we’d be there and is a show he’s always wanted to see.
Thursday, we’re doing the Greyjoy tour which includes the Giant’s Causeway, which I’ve never been to so that’s thrilling (I’ve never been to the Cliffs of Moher either, I am a terrible countrywoman, shameful representation of the home-country). Friday, we might do the first half of a free walking tour and then get back on the train for a fun 6 hour journey home which includes, a bus, two trains and a tram- yum.

I’m planning on reenacting it, I don’t know if security there will be that happy, though :/ .
It’s forecasted to be raining all the time we’re there so that’s lovely, I have my brolly and raincoat ready. I’ve taken what I think is the right decision and left the bright orange one at home (I like to call it my ‘MUG ME, MUG ME!!!! jacket’) and brought my nice, neutral navy one instead.

Where in Scotland @QuarryMan? I’m in and from Scotland, not too far from Glasgow
Just outside Galloway Forest Park, as far as I can tell from google maps. We went to a beach near Stranraer one of the days which was freezing but enjoyable all the same.

Offline The UK had its coldest winter day since 1963 in February and its hottest day ever in July.
The 10 coldest years on record all date to before 1963, while the 10 hottest years on record are all after 2002.
July was the hottest July on record worldwide ever, with highest temperatures being shattered in many countries.
Climate change, kids.
