Offline I’m going back on one I’ve used before. They can petition the company to cover the inhaler I was on but it’s harder to approve if I don’t try the inhalers they suggest first.

Offline Great news from the Doc today. In May, I went to see her for a checkup. She warned me that my weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides were all high. She said she would keep me off any medications as long as I could prove to her that I could lower the numbers on my own in four months via diet and exercise. I had my blood work done last Saturday and she reviewed my results with me this morning during my appointment. In four months, I lost 16 pounds, lowered my BP considerably, lowered my cholesterol by 60 points and my triglycerides by over 100 points. Yay me!!!
Beatley Moment: After she delivered the great news, she said she would send in a nurse to administer my flu shot. When they leave the room, they normally close the door, but this time she left it open. While waiting for the nurse, I was thinking how great it would be if I could get all my numbers back to where they once were. I kid you not, as soon as that thought entered my mind, ‘Get Back ‘ started playing from someone’s radio down the hall. I got to hear the entire song before the nurse entered.

Offline Dreading my school sponsored walk tomorrow. In other news, I listened to the whole of Sgt Pepper in earphones, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. That piano chord at the end is God level. It’s so good you wonder why anybody even bothered making music after it.

Offline As some people here are aware, my benefits got messed up back at the beginning of June because I hadn’t returned a form I hadn’t received. It saw two of the three benefits because of my health conditions stopped, seeing my weekly income over halved. This has made things rather difficult, as I’m sure you can imagine. For instance, I had to go, because of being on pay-as-you-go internet access, from around 14GB of use a week to 7GB a fortnight.
Have been trying to get the situation sorted since it began, and they’ve kept finding another hurdle to jump.
Went down to the Post Office today to get out the fortnightly payment. I went to the cash machine expecting to see a little over £200, but instead there was a little over £2000. The back-payment on one of the two benefits stopped has been made.
I am very, very happy.
I can start eating properly again. I can stop worrying.
They’ll probably call me in for a medical, as they usually do, but I know my health is such that that isn’t something to be scared about. Much as I would like to work, there’s too many doctors saying I can’t.
Nasty will be resuming normal service.

Worth every minute of the drive (which was, in itself, fascinating; I’ve never seen that much of America in one day! Just up half the East Coast and blimey, it’s huge! Skirted NYC and it was INSANE [said the small-town Southerner who has never been up close and personal with a city bigger than Raleigh ]! I feel like I’ve been away for a week even though it was just two days). I’ll write out the details of the concert itself later.

When I did that, I called the police. A policewoman came over, pried my locked door open, and used a big pole to grab my keys between the door and the inside of the car. She did it for free. In some towns, the police charge for getting the keys out of the car. It depends on where you live.
