Nah, you don’t wanna hear us, we’re rubbish. We just enjoy making noise together.That is the best fun of all being a musician. I feel only half a bassplayer when I’m not playing with someone else, and I know it’s the same for my friends who play other instruments. The first real jam I had with mates was a special moment, and I’m lucky in that I recorded it, and it’s terrible but you can hear we’re having fun!
This is why I get upset when the guitar player in my band takes himself too seriously. Instead of enjoying it like the rest of us, he gets caught up in the pursuit of perfection and starts getting mad at bandmates. He doesn’t realize how lucky we are to be playing together for an audience in the first place.

Offline After taking a closer look and looking up what unsolicited means, now i see what you mean, sorry about that. By the way, i think it’s cool that you have a violinist in the band @Beatlebug because you can play songs like Don’t Pass Me By with a real violin instead of using synth strings or transposing it to guitar.

Offline Where I live, it’s the end of term finally and six weeks summer holidays start from today, woohoo!
Given the fact, that my final exams are less than a year apart, my summer holidays will probably be under the slogan ‘Got To Get Some Discipline Into My Life’ though. But on the bright side, I’ll also spend some days in Berlin. I wonder whether I should keep @Ahhh Girl’s tradition alive and scribble the BB address somewhere on the Berliner Wall…
Oh yeah, and I’ll make as much music as I can, of course!

Offline What’s happening in my life..well, let’s see.
I saw Brian Wilson live 3 weeks ago, which was eh…special, but not too good. In general he sounded okay, but he did this weird half talking thing on the Pet Sounds songs which completely ruined them. I knew this beforehand, but hoped it wouldn’t be so bad. Oh well, Blondie Chaplin and Al Jardine stole the show and I had a good time.
Next day I had my final presentation for my university degree. I was shitting bricks and completely failed, so I have to do it again on the 28th of August and I have to pass it if I want to start my new study in time.
What else…met up with friends a couple of times, decided with one group of friends we’re either going to Paris or Prague in October. Have also been working quite a lot, which has left me pretty tired almost every day.
Busy busy busy, hence me not being here as often as I would like.
Being busy is a good thing though, as it takes my mind off other things.

Offline Honestly it’s probably best to say your goodbyes the night before, because if it’s too close the time of my setting apart it might not see it.
Of course! I’m listening to the White Album as the last record in my record listening marathon. I’ll pull out that ’09 remaster one last time.
Basically on the mission we go out and teach the gospel to people who are interested in the church. We also perform acts of service, like helping people move, or doing people’s yard work if they’re incapable and other stuff like that. As far as my mission goes, I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be doing, but you all will find out when SWR posts my emails here. SWR suggested making a new thread just for my emails instead of just posting them in this thread. Since I’m not gonna be here I said I didn’t mind either way, but I’ll put the idea up if you guys want to do that.
