Offline You do realise that if you’re not back on here on 2 August 2019, maybe the third, @William Shears Campbell, that if you roll in at the latter end of August 2019, we will be very disappointed. You will be told to go away and have a long hard think about your tardiness.
If you give in earlier, not a one of us will tell a single soul.
You have been warned. Hope not to be dead before you return.
Today I have mostly been building a new house in Sims 4 that takes into account the most recent additions. First floor, including gardens & swimming pool, all done. About to start work on second floor. One large playroom with a small bathroom, two balconies. Think we can fit a bowling alley in here. Gym, dance & bar to be fitted as well. Then top floor, master bedroom, en suite, sauna, hot tub.
Have two unopened basement levels. Hidden stairs down already in place for when I work with all that space!

I recommend going in there yourself and seeing for yourself, it’s hard to convince people that something’s sexist if you haven’t seen it for yourself. Who knows, maybe you’ll learn that Guitar Center isn’t a sexist place, or maybe you’ll find out otherwise, you won’t know for sure until you try it out for yourself.

I’ve been off the grid for the past couple of days, as you may (or may not) have noticed. Silly Dad had to go to the coast for work-related business and so, being inseparable, we went with him*. I thought I’d have WiFi at the hotel but I didn’t 
Guitar Center isn’t, in my experience, anything like @Expert Textpert said it was. They have a huge selection, let you play anything even if you don’t buy anything, and I have found the employees extremely helpful — much more so than the employees at the music store across the street from my local Guitar Center…
* You are free to find this charming or even heartwarming. Really it was a good excuse to go to the beach, which we don’t often.

Not necessarily. It might represent a realisation that you do not need to deprive of certain things you enjoy to be the best you can be in another area of your life – and that you might have more to contribute to that other area of your life if it wasn’t for it asking you to deny harmless pleasures to serve.

Offline I never knew that you used to be very religious, although i bet that if you knew about them back then, you’d still like them because The Beatles are that good and the whole bigger than Jesus controversy was just a huge misunderstanding.

Offline Because it’s near the end of term (5 days to go until summer holidays for me!
) we had a pretty chilled lessons in school today. I didn’t have my guitar lesson music today, nor did I bring it in because half of the period consisted of a mini test, while the other was spent on practical. There was a random acoustic guitar in the corner of the room I picked up for the practical part, but it seemed like none of us were allowed to leave the room, so the people who were singing had their backing track turned up loud and I could barely hear myself. Most of the people in my music lesson have big gobs, so I felt timid to ask them to turn it down. 
However, I did attempt to tune the guitar and just about hear myself play a bit of Not Fade Away before next period.

Offline Why are you still in school if it’s the middle of July, the latest us Americans are legally allowed to be sent to school (not counting ESY (AKA summer school)) is June 30th. After that, they are legally required to let us start our summer vacation.

I’m not denying harmless pleasures, I’m just setting them aside for a bit to focus on the work. When I come back I’ll have those pleasures for the rest of my life, and I might even appreciate them a bit more. It’s a one time thing, unless Future Wife Shears Campbell and I decide to serve in our elderly years.
