Drunk walking is a crimanal offence!!? Never heard that. I presume its not stumbling home wearing a traffic cone on your head and falling over continually whilst telling your best mate that you love him and that you need a kebab or you will die, if so half of bleeding Scotland would be up in court every Friday and Saturday night.

Suppose it could have been a lot worse @Matt Busby. Good to hear you’re a free man.

Good luck on the news you are waiting to hear on, @DrBeatle. Dont make us wait too long.

@AbbeyRoadRage Hey welcome back! It sounds amazing, and looks amazing too! I could get used to that view!

@Matt Busby Well, that’s sort of good, isn’t it? Just stay out of trouble and make sure it’ll be gone after the year and you’ll be all good again. Of course having a record isn’t nice, but as long as there’s the possibility of getting rid of it after you’ve made it through your probation succesfully, you won’t have to worry anymore. I’m sure you’ll make it.

As for myself, the past few days have been like hell for me, especially physically. Am feeling a lot better now though. Not going to complain.

Tomorrow I’m going to meet my supervisor at my new internship. Let’s hope there’s a click and things can start soon. The whole hassle and organisation of everything concerning the internship is going so slow and difficult.

Good to hear your feeling better @Linde and the very best of good fortune and enjoyment when meeting up with your supervisor. One you can talk to and get on well with makes such a difference when it comes to studies, it feels so much better and less work if the individual is someone who encourages and eggs you on yet gives you a kick up the backside when its needed.

Let us know how it goes.

Best of luck, @Linde .

Welcome back @AbbeyRoadRage  – cool new avatar!

So last week, I had my annual physical. An EKG produced a small “blip” on the chart. Probably nothing, but tomorrow I go for an echo cardiogram to rule out anything serious. Hoping for the best.

My thoughts are with you @Zig (and Zag as well) at what must be a worrying time.

Hopefully it is just a blip. If it isn’t though, as you know I know, they can do remarkable things nowadays.

Thanks to all for the warm thoughts.

As I told Ron Nasty via email, my Doc just wants to be safe and wasn’t overly concerned (yet). Having gone through this with Zag, the fear does tend to creep in, but I should be OK. My test is not til this afternoon at about 2PM Eastern. When all goes well, I’ll let you know. Looking forward to going out to dinner this evening.

Thanks again, really. Virtual hugs.

@Bradford_Timeline, yes it’s sortof good.  The main tradeoff is the (hopefully) temporary criminal record to keep my license, and the lower cost which is still $750 usd.

Good luck with the supervisor!  Sorry your internship is being a hassle, I’ve never heard of anyone having that kind of trouble with one.

Good luck @Zig.  I had a small blip and it turned out to be a “Right Branch Bundle Block”, a minor electrical problem that requires no treatment or activity restrictions.  It is a bit worrisome, but I bet it’s ok 🙂  Looking for your results man.

Good luck Zig, hope it’ll be just what it is, a blip, and nothing else.

The think with the supervisor went well, I thought it would be like some kind of job interview, to see if the both of us think we could get along, and to make plans and talk about our expectations, but it really wasn’t. I was with 3 other students, and she just introduced herself and explained what we would be doing. That was it really.

Had I known this before, I would have submitted my internship already. We have some kind of website connected to the website of my Uni, where you can look for internships, with information about them. When you have chosen one and they have decided you’re a good fit, you have to go to that website again and then you have to click on that internship and write down the information in the motivation box (the name of your supervisor, phone number, email, the days you’ll be there and all). Then you have to wait until your internship has accepted it and has sent it through to your school. Then we get a contact tutor assigned. Then I have to print out a contract, let it sign by my supervisor, tutor, and someone from the front office at school, then I have to upload it on another website we use to hand in papers and stuff. After that I have to wait again, for the upload to be okayed by the front office. Uploading the contract needs to happen within 4 weeks of being accepted in the internship by school, otherwise you can’t start your internship. Such a hassle. Funny thing is that I’ll start on the 3rd of September, whether they like it or not.

Oh, and I also have to request a new Certificate of Good Conduct, because I’ll work with children. That’s a bit of a hassle as well, I also had to have this at my last internship.

Ah well, it’ll be worth it. Within a few weeks I’ll be called ”miss Linde” by those kids. Can’t imagine that.

Well the echo cardiogram came and went. No one came rushing into the room wielding rib spreaders and scalpels, so that was a plus. The tech said the cardiologist would share the results with my doctor and I was able to come home. I took Zog for a walk (I floated, really) and now I just wait for Zag to get home so we can go to dinner. Hmmm…I have a sudden hankering for ribs.

Thanks to all of you for virtually holding my hand. That meant a lot to me.Y’all rock!!
