I just had dinner with @Ahhh Girl and Ohhh Boy at my favorite Mediterranean restaurant.  It was fun as always.

Yes, it was fun! The food was delicious. We just got home a few minutes ago.

I dig that John Lennon door at @Expert Textpert’s apartment building. So cool! I saw the piano through the door. I can’t wait to see the other Beatley things when I am there next month to go see the new Beatles movie with The Textperts.

Also, here’s Ahhh Girl’s post that I selfishly diverted the attention away from.

What’s Mrs. Texpert’s given name?

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I want those highs right about now. I’m melting. However, at least the temps are going down here. We’ve been 95+ for two months.

Got my schedule for the upcoming school year yesterday. Very pleased with the classes I got (ok, but mostly the electives). For electives I got art, drama, exploring piano, and tech (which shouldn’t even be considered an elective, as it’s mandatory for everyone to take that class). Oh, and the dreaded 21st Century Skills, which shouldn’t be an elective either, as we’re forced to take it and all we ever seem to learn is the basic stuff our parents taught us; don’t do drugs and don’t bully.

The rest are the same as last year, really. Science, English, French, social studies (can’t we just call it history already? That’s what they call it in the high school), math, gym, and the dreaded math applications that basically just teaches us math that we “actually will use in life”, but in reality, it’s just working on buying out fake companies. Right, like we’re actually gonna need to know the area of an pentagon.

All that aside, I’m actually kinda excited for this year, as it’s already my last year in the middle school and it’ll be somewhat new, and I’m hoping to meet some new people and hopefully make friends with some.

Thanks, @Starr Shine?  ! a-hard-days-night-george-9

That was weird! The post said “have a today”, and when I clicked the ‘quote’ button, the text in the quote box said “have a good trip”! How did you do that!? paul-mccartney

My daughter’s turning 33 this month and I want to give her a birthday party, but I don’t know what to do. She liked My Little Pony, Barbie, and Care Bears when she was a kid, but having a Care Bears party for a 33 year old would look sexist, but the kind of stuff she likes nowadays is sitcoms, pop music, and romance novels, all of which I refuse to do a party based on. Also, should I invite my sister because my daughter loves her but me, my older brother, and my cousin Bill don’t get along with her at all and she always finds something to complain to us about. Also, what music should I use, should I use what she’s into nowadays (modern pop and rap that makes me want to shove a drill in through my eardrum), what she grew up with (80’s and 90’s pop and rap), or what I want to hear (AC/DC, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, etc.).

I have a full three days off work, the luxury.

Today I’ve done nothing strenuous as I am tired. Tomorrow I go out for the day. Tuesday I will again take it easy as its then back to work. Thankfully it does ease off as the weeks go and I get the 15th September off without having to ask.
