Yesterday I went to the Studio Two tribute concert at a local public field. It was absolutely amazing! At one point, my dad thought that they were playing The Monkees, so he’s all like “Look, they’re playing The Monkees! Last Train To Clarksville!”. I obviously knew better and knew that a Beatles tribute band wouldn’t be playing them a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Today, I’m getting ready to go on a trip to Arizona. My family and I are going down there so we can visit my grandpa and go see the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, most of the trip is gonna be driving in a mini van and a roughly 6 hour non stop plane ride paul-mccartneyand we have to wake up at 3am to get a ride at 4am (which right now, doesn’t sound too bad because I woke up at 1am, 2am, 3am, and finally got out of bed at 6am today, so tomorrow should be nothing). Luckily, our house that we rented has a pool, so swimming is a definite option for trying to beat the 100+ degree Fahrenheit weather

@natureaker

Awesome. The Grand Canyon is my favorite place on Earth. When we lived in Phoenix, I took everyone that visited us from out of state to that magical place. It was always my excuse to drive back up there. I would say “you’re too close to it to not see it…let’s go!”. If it is at all possible, you have to stay there until sunset.

My stomach is making very weird noises approx. every 5 seconds, I think it’s imploding.

It pretty much sounds like this

Would help you cross from Ireland to the UK if you became a frog.

Ooh, mine is like that too. a-hard-days-night-paul-7 I should find something to munch upon…

Anyway, on Friday evening we drove up to the mountains to try to escape the heat; we were there all day Saturday, which is why I wasn’t online if anyone noticed. It was very, very nice. a-hard-days-night-paul-8

I got a new splint this past weekend. I’m healing up quite nicely. I feel a lot better than I was a week or two ago. I’ll probably heal up completely in a week or two by my estimation.

The cheat sheet has been applied to the guitar. It’s there to help me learn notes. For those who have been wondering what the guitar looks like:

As if I needed another reason to feel old:  it feels as if one day I’m starting a new job, thinking that it would be a miracle if I last more than a year at it, and the next thing you know I’m walking into what I think is a “staff meeting” only to be greeted by a “40 years on the job” cake and candles to blow out.  40 years!  How is that even imaginable, let alone possible?

Yes, more vegetarian that George actually. a-hard-days-night-paul-4

Starr Shine? wondered into her fingers

How is someone more vegetarian?

George was an on-again, off-again vegetarian; Ringo is vegetarian and sticking to it. Also, Ringo is considerably more vegetarian than George, because George is considerably dead. a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Update on the Julia situation: I’ve decided to relegate it to ‘Another Day ‘ status, and I’m just sitting here Watching The Wheels go round and round learning the acoustic version of ‘Watching The Wheels ‘ instead. ahdn_paul_01

I work with someone who has been at our place for over 40 years. Her institutional memory is invaluable. I wish we could download her memories onto a hard drive before she retires.

Made it safely to Arizona yesterday. We haven’t done much yet, besides get basic stuff, like choosing where to sleep or what we’ll need for the week. Though, yesterday and today have and are gonna be more of a sit back and relax kind of day, as we didn’t wanna risk driving to the Grand Canyon today, as the area where it’s located was/is being heavily impacted by a monsoon (just a whole lotta rain, which people around here do seem to mind) and we didn’t want to risk getting stuck on a highway for hours, when the ride is already roughly 3 and 1/2 hours, so we’ll be going tomorrow. Luckily, we didn’t seem to get impacted that much, as a few block down had like 2 inches of rain, and we barely got an inch
