The smoke detector is broken and we don’t know exactly what’s wrong with it. It’s always going off when there clearly isn’t a single puff of smoke in the entire house. Last night, it went off at 1AM, and then again at 2AM. It must have gone off again, because I slept less than five hours last night.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

If you haven’t replaced the battery, you could try that. But that’s not the typical low battery warning and my guess is you just need to replace it (or have the landlord do it, if you rent).
Rip Prince 🙁 Odd – Bowie goes, now Prince who could be considered his younger brother in a “musical genre family tree” sort of way. 2016 is not shaping up to be a good year for musicians…

I just experienced a huge thrill. We had a Team USA Olympian visit our office today. She is a three-time medal winner (2 gold and a silver). I got to hold one of her gold’s – the one from London! Still shaking…
Update: she autographed a T-shirt exactly like this one and I won the drawing for it!
I’m going to have it framed and hang it up with the rest of my sports memorabilia. Too cool.

She is the slight lady just above the upper left corner of the flag. This is a pic after they won gold in London. That’s the medal I got to hold. As you probably guessed from her size, she was the coxswain for the team. When I asked her if she was going to compete in Rio, she informed us that she was retired, but will be there working as an analyst for NBC Sports during the games.

Me, I’m a bit peeved right now. I’ve been having a bit more problems with acid reflux lately, for which I have meds, but apparently don’t always work. Anyway, I’ve had some nasty ones lately and it seems there are some residual problems. I’m coughing a lot at the moment (barking, more like it) and it hurts. I just hope it’s not another pneumonia 
On a brighter note: only 7 weeks to go until I get to see Paul again!
