Nintendo never fails to be greedy and anticonsumer. 90$ for a laggy mariokart game and a lazy port of TOTK and 90$ BOTW with no changes. A 12 month NSO subscription and 300 hours of playtime on switch to preorder a console. Charging money for a tutorial for the console. A TUTORIAL. This is just a new low and somehow people are defending this saying "ItS BEcauSe Of TaRRifS ANd InFLAtiOn!". In what world would a MARIOKART GAME COST 90$!?!?! This makes no sense. From now on I'm just sticking to playstation.

The online access for every other console was free BUT NOOOOOOOOO lets make it a subscription now! I also hate how Nintendo handles old games and consoles . I love old Pokémon games dearly BUT the issue is they never rerelease it for modern consoles. I know they can because they release other games but they NEVER rerelease anything that the fans ask for. Fans will pay good money for a rerelease but Nintendo doesn't care! They rereleased all the old Pokémon games for the 3DS back in 2011 why didn't they do it for the Switch?!?! You basically have two options, Pirate the game  (I'd like to be a pirate a Pirate's life for me) OR Buy an old console and a copy of the game.  I straight up bought a 3ds second hand because I was so fed-up with Nintendo's crap. They also never publish the games fans want. I've been waiting for Tomodachi life for the switch FOREVER but Nintendo released the spin-off game for the switch instead. At least they announced Tomodachi Life Two, but it's likely gonna end up a Switch 2 exclusive. I think I'll just stick to my 3DS at this point. (I love the 3DS it's probably one of the best game players ever made)

Exactly. The same thing happened to me with F-ZERO and StarFox. The last time we got a F-ZERO game was in 2023 and that was just a lousy 99 game and the last Star Fox game we got was a SPINOFF in 2019. And we all know what happened to Earthbound. i wish they would just bring back virtual console back instead of NSO but no Nintendo is just too greedy to actually care about fans.

Welp, Nintedo just pulled some major bullshit on me this morning. They updated Switch so you have to put the physical game card in for every game (Even the ones that you only have digtially).

I woke up from my side pain this morning, choked down an ibuprofen, popped in Rubber Soul , and turned on my Switch to watch some Youtube. Then I saw that my Switch was asking for an update. Updated the Switch then went to watch Youtube, to which it told me "Put the game card in" WHAT GAME CARD?!?!?!?! I DOWLOADED THIS DIGTIALLY???? Then I checked my other games which I only have digtially. They all had the same message. One of them never even had a physical release! It was a digtial game only! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PUT A GAME CARD INTO MY SWITCH IF THE GAME CARD DOESN"T EXIST?!?!

My Switch kept telling me to "Read the new user policy agreement thingie" but instead of putting it on the consle (like they normally do) THEY SENT AN EMAIL INSTEAD. WHAT THE FECK NINTENDO?!?! (It doesn't help that I'm locked out of that email account too)

Anyways, I think this might have to do with the new update they released regarding digtial downloads. I'm PWT rn so correct me if I get the info wrong regarding this news. EDIT: I misunderstood what happened so I've edited my post to correct my misunderstanding.

A New update to the switch which changed the User Agreement terms. It allows Nintendo to brick your system is they suspect you of pirating. The new update also has a thing called "Virtual Acess card" which is a way to confirm you legtimally bought the game/software you're trying to run. It's kinda annoying to set up.

I know it's done to stop piracy but.... I've had those games on my switch for years and I bought all of them why now do they need to confirm it.

At this point I'm probably not going to spend money on Nintendo games or consoles anymore. I'm just gonna use my 3DS. It's a lot more fun and Nintendo doesn't sell the games for it anymore which means buying games for it doesn't support Nintendo. God what a great thing to wake up to.

  

I'm so sorry my switch is just as normal as it was before I updated it. At this point the only reason I play my switch is youtube and car rides. Still glad I have my old 3ds for when I was 7. It has a web browser the switch doesn't great N64 remaster's like OOT and Starfox™64 and just great games like Mariokart™7 and Flipnote. The 3DS has to be in the top 3 best consoles ever made.
