I know the feeling, mmm. I got a text from my GP’s surgery today telling me because of my health conditions I need to self-isolate for 12 weeks.
It’s a practical impossibility for me.
I don’t really have people I can ask to do too much, nor do I have a credit/debit card to allow for online purchasing. I rely on three payments across four weeks that I draw out in cash from the Post Office. Am I expected to give someone else my pin number?
Long as my local shop and Post Office stay open, and I’m allowed to walk up the road, I’ll be okay. Three or four times up the road a week is all I need.

I didn’t have the interest levels to discuss life. Here I like as it’s settled and the backdrop is Beatles but all that social media stuff I can’t get interested in. It’s the same at work.
My approach to life is the daily stuff is so boring, at least for me, so why discuss it. I’d rather just skip all the small talk and get to the honesty of your life and existence. Which is an issue as folk aren’t that comfortable and it takes time to build up that kind of ability between people. Tho never take it too seriously or get offended by what is said

Offline I was thinking should we start a film chat or something seeing how most of us are holed up in our shacks? We host a film on some website once or twice a week (preferably semi-Beatles related or we do one Beatles and one non-Beatles if we do it twice a week) and have a chat box. It’s something to look forward to and will be a bit of a laugh.
The list of Beatles related things ranges from their actual films, to things they were in like How I Won The War, Give My Regards To Broad Street (might finally get to watch that one through if I can laugh at it with other people), documentaries about them, to films they soundtracked or something as distant as Handmade Films’ productions.

If you made some kind of group chat on discord or google hangouts or something that might work, Walry and I watched The Rutles together and talked on Google Hangouts and it worked great.

Offline 24 hours on and my work possession has changed.
Due to being a support worker, my role is classified as “essential” and therefore the choice reverts back to my work and myself. Work and I both recognise the fact that 12 weeks isolated would have a deeply negative effect on me and therefore I will continue working with the risk reduced as much as possible. I won’t go out and instead will be in getting on with daily chores etc. All open to review and I will be able to stop if, when and as soon as required, plus I am on annual leave for 10 days from Monday which will give a better idea of where it all is. If there any changes then they will respect that and I will go off with very short notice, which is how it is at the moment. I walk to work at 7:08am and leave at 10pm and never see anybody on the way and I won’t go shopping, to events etc, but then the people I support are not to go either. They will also have better hygiene control than I do at home and if I was to go ill when there they are able to act quickly instead of when I am at home and having to rouse myself and get hold of people.
I think taking the risk is more beneficial than not.
Is this in the wrong thread? I don’t know.
