Haha, you have a point, ExTex. I suppose I was looking through my customary rose-tinted glasses at the whole thing, and certainly staying with my grandparents is always lovely. When it comes to the extended-family-gatherings, though, I usually end up in a corner with a guitar or drawing pad being anti-social. Being the only out-of-state folks in a fairly close-knit family can be a bit weird… and I still can’t keep track of all the great-aunts on my paternal grandmother’s side! ahdn_paul_01

LOL. I’m sure we will find something to enjoy. At least we will have a nice meal and some free time.

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! Let’s hope your holiday doesn’t include any of these sorts of tensions:

Merry Christmas Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Definitely thankful for food, friends, family, home, music, good health, and that fact that Trump isn’t president yet. But, after Thanksgiving is even more exciting because…

I stayed home with a certain special girl and ate pizza for Thanksgiving this year. Got to avoid the alcoholic family drama AND spend some time alone with her for once. Never been happier.

Wow, same!paul-mccartney

My Thanksgiving was nice and calm, but the family member that was making all the vegetables ended up getting sick and wasn’t able to make them, so I ended up with a bowl of broccoli for Thanksgiving din din. There was some pretty bomb pumpkin pie, though, so that almost made up for the lack of brussels sprouts.

Didn’t thought they were the same, one had a teen more who was 16 and the other had one at 13.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends across the pondjohn-lennon-salute_gif

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 According to Wikipedia, Thanksgiving is also celebrated in Brazil, Grenada, the city of Lieden in the Netherlands, Saint Lucia, on Norfolk Island, and in the Philippines (although it isn’t an official holiday there anymore).

But yes, happy (now somewhat late) Thanksgiving to all of our Americans! I hope your turkey/ham/whatever else you may have had instead dinners were tasty and filling. john-lennon-salute_gif

Isn’t Thanksgiving celebrated on different days in those places? Could be wrong

Yep! We have ours on the second Monday of October. Multiple other places vary from US Thanksgiving as well, but some celebrate it on the same day.
