Probably more apt as a thread for Tuesday, but still. After hearing an album of mostly Motown love songs (The Big Chill), and specifically, It's The Same Old Song, what are some of your favourite love songs? Personal favourites:
It's The Same Old Song (Four Tops)
Return to Me (Dean Martin)
I've Got You Under My Skin (Frank Sinatra)
Layla (Derek and the Dominoes - NOT Eric Clapton)
My Girl (The Miracles - I'm 99% sure. If I'm wrong, please correct me)
Michelle (If you don't know - leave. Just leave.)a-hard-days-night-george-10

Hi

Yvonne Ellimen - I Don't Know How To Love Him

Beatles - Michelle

Bee Gees - How deep is your love

Percy Sledge - When a man love a woman

Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly with His Song

And ...

I'll remember later ...

...They've forgotten all about God

He's the only reason we exist...

Some of my favorite love songs include, but are not limited to...

"Something" - The Beatles

"Woman" - John Lennon

"It Makes No Difference" - The Band

"All I Want is You" - U2

"Wonderful Tonight" (third song in this thread inspred by Pattie Boyd) - Eric Clapton

There are many more, but these 5 leap to mind.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

Oh, nooo aha, I just meant that I don't have a favourite love song that isn't Beatles related.

Pitchfork said the greatest love song was God Only Knows by the Beach Boys, and I'm inclined to agree.

Beatles-wise, Maybe I'm Amazed, Here There And Everywhere and Something are the ones that stick out to me. And if you play Maybe I'm Amazed backwards you get a great recipe for lentil soup!

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.
