Cats are great. So are dogs.

Reporter: Beethoven figures in one of your songs. What do you think of Beethoven?
Ringo Starr: He’s great. Especially his poetry.

Yes! Also rabbits. And animals in general.

The previously mentioned feline has now adjusted his position so he is lying next to my arm and not atop it. He hasn't made a single aggressive/violent move yet, so that's pleasantly surprising.

Yes, cats. Yesterday I was crunched over in a really weird position reading fanfics **i mean research** on my computer and my kitty, Lucy, just hopped up on my back and stayed there for twenty minutes. It was uncomfortable, but she was purring.heart

I wish my cat did things like that. He either ignores me, attacks me, demands food from me, or runs away from me. Every once in a while (once in a blue moon, once in a billion years, etc) he'll get cuddly and sit on my lap and let me pet him and be friendly. That only ever happens for two reasons: when I'm sitting in a chair that he wants to sit in (when I get up he just takes it over) and when I'm typing/writing. He loves to step on my keyboard and chew my pencil. (He's done serious damage to writing implements. It's not pretty. And it's very hard to do homework when a cat is headbutting your pencil.)

I appreciate cats.

And those of you who appreciate felines may also appreciate this song of appreciation for the very same by that wonderful ailurophile, Freddie Mercury:

On another note, I've been appreciating Physical Graffiti and Led Zeppelin in general almost all day. apple01 O LET THE ZEPP BEAT DOWN UPON MY EARS / AND BASS TO FILL MY DREEEAMS

I appreciate you, @Beatlebug, for your use of the word ailurophile. (among other reasons.)

Aaaaaand speaking of cats mine just tried to bite my hand as I typed this. It was only a matter of time (actually it's the second time it's happened today) till he attacked me again.

Edit: And now he's back on my lap purring and being a sweetheart. heart

I once dreamed that instead of just one kitty, I had three identical cats, and I'd only ever seen one at a time. It was very strange.

My English teacher uses the word y'all daily and for some reason I keep finding myself saying it/thinking it/ wanting to say it. It's quite strange.

You have probably already figured this out from my stream-of-consciousness posts, but I am very tired.

I'm very appreciative to live very close to the sea - when we have hot days, it's not too bad when the cool change arrives because it's aided by the sea (and also it smells great)

I'm also appreciative of the mods, having to moderate the mess we give them sometimes.
