I’d like to thank Joe for doing everything he can to fix everything that everyone wants fixed on the forum.  Not everyone can do everything like Joe can.  Very generally appreciated @Joe!

Thanks everyone. I’ve only just checked into this thread – I saw I’d been @mentioned but I’ve been buzzing around like a blue-arsed fly (there’s some good old English vernacular for ya) for the last few days trying to fix things.

Glad you were able to stick with us during a rocky patch. It’s nice to be appreciated, and to know you’re all loyal and fab. Change is never popular, and the redesign would have caused some consternation without all the server problems that followed.

It’s going to be a lot easier when I’m doing this full-time in the new year. Not long to go now. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me then (I apologise in advance).

Erm. Let’s see, it’s Thanksgiving and I’m thankful for things, hence this post…

  1. Family: I’m thankful that we can see them often, even if we have to drive seven hours ahdn_paul_01.
  2. Food — I shall spend the entire week eating. My favourite traditional Thanksgiving dish is probably sweet potato casserole.
  3. As always, music. That there are people in the world who love it as much as I do, except they’re better at it and they actually recorded it and whatnot, and I reap the benefits. a-hard-days-night-john-6 And that I have ears to hear it with and hands to make it with.
  4. I’m very thankful that I have hands and feet that work well. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif
  5. The Beatles Bible forum, and
  6. All you lovely people and all that you add to it, each in your own way. You all rock. heart

I prefer the US albums over the UK albums for 2 reasons:

1. Nostalgia, the UK albums weren’t released in the US until 1987, so all we had was the US albums

2. They fixed Parlophone’s stupid mistake of not including singles on albums

I must agree William Shears Campbell that it’s great to be appreciated on this forum and it’s also great how well people of different age groups get along on this forum like as if they were born in the same year, I mean there’s people varying in age from being a teenager when The Beatles premiered on The Ed Sullivan Show to still being the womb when 1 was released.

Get a room, already! a-hard-days-night-george-10

I appreciate the consultant who this afternoon decided sticking his finger up my butt was a perfect teaching opportunity and invited a bunch of students to observe. Always delightful to be on all fours on a bed with a group of, mainly, young females watching a rectal exam.

At least I’m allowed my laptop, not that I can sit with it on my lap right now.

I think we need to appreciate 70’s rock music and how nostalgic it is to people like me and to do that, let’s think of all the great 70’s rock bands and their great albums by having 10 lines of great 70’s rock albums, although one isn’t really rock but still just as good as the rest.

A fantastic group of albums there, HM! Those certainly have memories attached for me! Even KISS,  I enjoyed that album with my late brother.
