Maybe I should make more effort with my social life, but it’s hard when I can get my pj’s on and curl up in front of that instead

That is one of our favorite things on earth to do. Nothing beats a comfy pair of PJ’s and a great book/show/album, etc… Especially when the weather is poor.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

No. Not all of us are creatures of the night (cue Susan Sarandon in about-to-burst bra singing that song in Rocky Horror)… even in my swinging 20s, I wasn’t one for late night escapades.

Most recent show I watched was “Magical Mystery Tour ” – though some would debate whether it is ‘good’ or not :)

Next up is “Rockshow” – hopefully my copy is not one of the ones with a stuffed up surround sound mix.  It was new stock at the store last week so hopefully one of the new batch they released on the 6th of this month that was fixed.

Then comes Ringo at ‘the Greek’ from 2008.

I never watch actual TV anymore except to watch Manchester United or one of my own (ridiculously large) collection of DVD / Bluray.

I really liked Great British Bake Off which has just finished.

Have I Got News For You is very good but i watch it on the Mondays for the extended version.

The new season of The Big Bang Theory starts on Thursday on E4 for those in the UK. I’ll give it a go but it might not last.

I don’t want to ruin it for you, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. The new season has been airing for about a month over here in the states. I mean there are funny parts, but its kind of water down compared to the first seasons.

Shame – I have the first 5 seasons on DVD and 6 on my Chrissy list – the one starting now is Season 7?  Been a pretty good run so far.

Give the new season a try if you want. As I said it still has funny parts, but something about it has changed or at least to me.

I’ve been watching the GBBO, too, though on a Sunday because it coincides with Holby City. Bit annoying this week because I’ve been trying to avoid the news, but I found out Francis won. I’ll still watch it, though. I love it.

Never knew they did an extended version of HIGNFY on a Monday. Thought it strange they did extended QI and Mock The Wekk but not that. Thanks for pointing that out, mmm. I’ll be doing that in future, I think, if I can stop myself from watching it on the Friday.

They don’t do an extended Mock the Week. BBC – extended HIGNFY and QI. C4 extended 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Don’t they? Oh. Maybe I’m getting confused. Haven’t woken up properly yet.

Afraid not. Always annoyed me that there’s no extended Mock the Week or Buzzcocks, as I’m sure there’s enough every episode to make a 40-45 minute programme.

Imagine how I feel. Me and the wife are going to see a dinner theatre production of Rocky Horror tonight and being very familiar with the movie, I’ll have “Hot Patootie” and “Sweet Transvestite” stuck in my head the rest of the month.

I’m going to a Rocky Horror showing on Halloween night, so I feel ya. Perhaps, some Beatles music can help. a-hard-days-night-george-9

I went to what i thought was a screening of The Rocky Horror Show a few years back. Turned out to be a participation evening which meant that hired folks, dressed up in the costumes, would dance in front of the cinema screen whilst the audience had free license to sing along, chat with themselves, shout at the screen, and move about whenever they wanted to. I stayed for 10 minutes and it has put me off the film for life.

I just realised… What was up with me this morning!? The extended HIGNFY is HIG more NFY, isn’t it? Course. I remember.
Anyway, what is the Rocky Horror Show? Anyone care to explain? I’ve heard about it a lot but never got round to finding out what it is exactly.

Surely mmm you should never to go to a cinema screening of TRHS especially at night, you’re going to get people (like me a-hard-days-night-george-10 what I get paid for it!!) dressing up and singing

When else would there be a screening of TRHPS except at night? No point having it when folk are at work.

Anyway the week before they had screened China Town (the Jack Nicholson film) and the week before that they had shown The Hustler (1961 movie starring Paul Newman), neither with audience participation.  There was another classic film (b&w) during the month long run but i forget what it was called; i have Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? in my head but it wasn’t that, i think something similar but can’t remember.

RHPS is the only film I know of that really has audience participation in it, so you’re safe with other films
