I wasn’t suggesting the “Mr Sun King ” award should always go to same person, @Starr Shine?. I was suggesting it be awarded by committee rather than just you, and Joe and the Mods, alongside you, should have a discussion about where it goes.
I’ve said it before, and will continue to. Here and privately.
My query on it wasn’t about Zig getting it, very well worthy, but how many people were involved in choosing Zig for this year’s award. I think it was one unless things have changed since last year.
I just think it would be nice if where that award went was decided by discussion.

Offline Believe me, @Starr Shine?, it is not a criticism of you, just a thought that that particular award — because it is unique in that forum members do not have a vote — could be approached differently.
I know you don’t give it lightly, but I’m pretty sure there’s times you sit there wondering where it goes. A behind-the-scenes discussion I think would make it easier, like the Oscars panel deciding who gets a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Well, I’ve had it for years. I think finding who came first would be quite difficult. I have no recollection of ever deliberately taking your signature and that would be a very stupid thing to do in the first place.

Offline Well ^ I did a bit of research to the above accusation of me adding Ex Tex’s signature to my own. I spent about 5 minutes on the WayBackWhen machine and discovered that as early as the 29th November 2015 neither Ex Tex nor I were using the quote in our signature.
(Although the posts says January 2014, screenshot is from the above mentioned date)
As late as the 20th of April 2016 I was using the quote.
Now I’m gone for the day so I won’t be able to research more until tomorrow but if someone else wants to find out who is the “definitive owner” of the stupid quote, go on ahead.

When you upload an image and you get that long string of text, look for the bit that says title=”something” and put whatever you wish in between the quotes, so long as it hasn’t any apostrophes or quotation marks in it.

Offline There is a puppy called Mr. Bojangles
and I used to use him to inspire people to vote in the End of Year awards. If you didn’t vote bad things would happen to the puppy like he would be forced to eat coal-flavoured treats.
