Quote mine my post. I disagree about the heyday. A band is a band if it is around and remember, first gen, if not, Second gen.

How can you imply that the Beach Boys weren’t in their heyday in the nineties? Don’t you remember their appearance on Full House? That was prob the highlight of their career tbh.

I believe that to be a 1st gen fan, you had to have liked them during their heyday. There are 3 phases, 1st gen, 1.5th gen, and 2nd gen. 1.5th gen means that you were very young at the time but were still into their music while they were still in their heyday. In this case, I let you make the call on whether you’re a 1st or 2nd gen fan. For example, if you were born in 1967 and liked The Beatles when they were still around, I will let you make the call on whether you’re a 1st or 2nd gen fan.
Here are 10 examples:
1. Queen
1st gen: born no later than 1970
1.5th gen: born from 1970-1977
2nd gen: born after 1977
2. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Beach Boys (I use the same guidelines for all 3 of these bands)
1st gen: born no later than 1960
1.5th gen: born from 1961-1968
2nd gen: born after 1968
3. Non-Disney or Pink Panther talking theatrical animated short films
1st gen: born no later than 1948
1.5th gen: born from 1949-1957
2nd gen: born after 1957
4. Star Wars Original Trilogy
1st gen: born no later than 1974
1.5th gen: born from 1975-1977
2nd gen: born after 1977
5. Classic Elvis
1st gen: born no later than 1951
1.5th gen: born from 1952-1957
2nd gen: born after 1957
6. Classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1st gen: born no later than 1984
1.5th gen: born from 1985-1988
2nd gen: born after 1988
7. Classic Disney short films (this is about stuff like the classic Mickey Mouse shorts and Silly Symphonies and stuff like that)
1st gen: born no later than 1940
1.5th gen: born from 1941-1948
2nd gen: born after 1948
8. The Simpsons
1st gen: born no later than 2000
1.5th gen: born from 2001-2007
2nd gen: born after 2007
9. The Beatles Bible and it’s Fab Forum
1st gen: everybody who uses it
1.5th and 2nd gen: non-existent
10. Water
1st gen: everybody
1.5th and 2nd gen: nobody

I would post, but my post will no doubt be quote mined to say the opposite of what I say.

WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY MOTHER?!!??!?!
Personally I don’t care when you were born, how you were born, or where you were born, if you’re a fan, you’re a fan…simple as!

I thought this conversation wold be dead by now.
It was, I was just looking around and wondering what happened to @Little Piggy Dragonguy and stumbled upon this thread and felt like writing a post here, I’m surprised I got this many replies to such a simple post.

@Dark Overlord has already made this argument through two other accounts.
I did, but I didn’t state everything I stated in post #23.
