Well, that post was made more than a year before he was diagnosed with cancer, so it’s not that ironic.

I still listen to Blackstar every week (though I skip Girl Loves Me if the kids are around). I think it’s one of his best works, regardless of the drama surrounding its creation and release. It’s a masterpiece.
I liked the title track a lot when I first heard it, and grew to *love* it once I heard it in the context of the album (which I received on the day he died). I use this as my avatar on social media:
