Oh my, I nearly forgot to decorate Jimmy! Thank goodness I remembered before Christmas; he’d be very upset with me if he didn’t get all spruced up. ahdn_paul_01

Also, I finished my tree decorating just a few days ago, which got me wondering: Does anyone here have any Beatley Christmas decorations?

I’ve got a few ornaments myself, and they’re always a joy to dig out and hang up:

I made these felt Apple and moptop ones last year:

And here they are on my tree:

This little lunchbox and thermos set is my perhaps my favourite. Not only does the lunchbox open so that the thermos can be stored inside, but amazingly, the set was made for the very same Christmas I was born! heart

And finally, this neat Yellow Submarine :

My fully real Christmas tree, all decorated, is up with the lights flashing away. Will see how long it lasts, may still be up in May.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 I’m finishing at 2pm on the 24th, and then I too am off work for 10 days!

I am sadly in Tier 4 in the UK. I’m feeling pretty low now I can’t see my mum or dad at all over Christmas, and I’m angry that the whole thing feels like it was avoidable (but that’s maybe a topic for another thread a-hard-days-night-george-10.)

Still, trying to focus on the positives and count my blessings. I get to spend the day with my other half, in a home I feel comfortable in, and my family will be healthy and safe. That’s more than a lot of people can say this Christmas. heart

I thought I’d posted this but apparently not.

Combine 2 grandparents dying, and the last remaining one having a foot operation last week and is thus not allowed to go anywhere, we’ll be off there to look after her. I think we might be having a ham? If we’re really lucky, we might even put up a tree…

Total absence of a Christmas this year in The Family Got Fixed – despite the lack of covid allowing large gatherings here.
